I didn't love Christian Coleman getting highlighted in the opening few minutes with no mention of his suspension & how this meet had zero problem welcoming him back with open arms. Would love if meets like this wouldn't invite people like that & give a lane to someone more deserving.
I totally agree!
You may not like, but he could care less. FTW! He’s back!!!!
"Despite the layoff" Coleman wins. !!!!!
Are we supposed to feel bad for him? He knows exactly what he did. He would have tested positive for something & missed three drug tests. There's no excuse for it. & meets & announcers at meets need to do a whole lot better.
Where is LRC on this? They let people speculate wildly & make accusations against athletes all the time with no proof. You have an athlete here who gets caught but the sport welcomes them back with open arms. Why isn't LRC using their platform/reach to call attention to this?
Bolden twice referred to it "as time off" As if he was on vacation. Swangaard was similarly fawning. Ugh.

In the race Nico ran 4:02, Theo Quax ran 4:16.
Quax just ran 4:02 at Millrose ... bodes well for Nico's shape .
Bad race for Josette Norris's boyfriend in 4:09.
Nico at 3:48?
This race is running on a tight schedule I like it.... not much dead time
what's brazier running?
NBC out of nyc just cut in to give a weather report at the start of the 800m!!!
Fvcking a$$h0les couldn’t wait 1:47?!?!
Beautiful win by Hoppel. Just perfect.

The 400 @ 3:24pm

The 400.
1:46 isn't gonna scare him but good race by Hoppel.
Isaiah Jewett and Charlie Hunter did not have great 800m pro debuts.
Nice tactics by Hoppel. 1:46.05 is not the most impressive time though
Hoppel coasted to an easy 1:46.05 win. Jewett looked really rough, DFL.
Absolute BS. F NBC, total scumbags? 5 minute weather alert still being shown. They cant at least have the race on half the screen??
fvcking NBC!!!! wrote:

My local NBC is just showing weather. Hopped onto the NBC Sports App so that doesn't happen. That's my recommendation.
That race was a joke. The 800m is still wide open this year

Hunter Already debuted 4 flat at a&m but agree not a great race
Interesting point on the broadcast, what are the distance runners going to do about warming up with the snow?
I've run indoor meets when it is snowing outside and just warm up in it... not in NYC though IDK if that makes a difference
