Yeah I was easy on the diclofenac, just at night. One more thing: I wasted a lot of money on shoes. Actually, the Bondi seven helped for a few weeks, because it’s like putting your foot into a cast. After that I just went back to my lighter weight trainers. But around the house those adidas adilette(sp) slides helped a lot.
The big thing, again, is to really work/roll/massage your lower leg up to your glutes.

Do you where this while running too?
I wore it all day, including running. I ran pain-free. After two weeks I got it off, I was still pain-free.
.
I did buy some PF feeture socks that I wear while running, but it hasn't helped.
Stretchy socks do not give as good a support as a Velcro-adjustable strap.
So just been to the Dr and I've been diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis. Which means no Man Vs Horse in a few weeks and probably no ultra next year. On the positive it probably means my I'll get through the London Marathon ballot.
Hope that helps.
Stop. Let it completely hear and fix the issue first. Running will only make it worst and it may just go to the point of no fix.
I have not run in over a year, stretch daily, roll with ball, then ice bottle. Still can feel the PF in the morning and sometimes during the day. I have had it for around 8 years, seems like it might just not go away. I do miss running which would just be jogging at this point, and may just try to get going again.
I've had PF several times in my life. For me, it was the result of weak feet. I noticed one day when walking about up and down stairs barefoot to do housework that my PF felt better the next day. I bought some barefoot shoes and began doing long walks in those. within two weeks it was completely gone. I walk/jog at least once a week barefoot to maintain.
Treatment with intra-insular percutaneous electrolysis(EPI) and appropriate running shoes, in my case, the Hoka Rincon worked well.
Yeah, I agree that for a lot of people, myself included, a weak foot really made my plantar bad. Doing some general strengthening is definitely good. I did a lot of big toe exercises and calf raises.
