I am a Male senior this year with an 800 pr of 2:01. Last year I had great speed with pretty lackluster endurance which caused me to go 53 in the 400 and only 4:40 in the 1600. I talked to my coach about adding some more endurance sessions as I felt that was my weakness but he hasn't really listened. I haven't been to practice yet and am continuing to do my own plan because I have seen what the team's training is like and they do 8 minute tempos some days with a few 200's some other days. I feel like I am in the best shape I have ever been in right now with doing endurance training with a few sprints, but I am scared what will happen to my fitness once the season begins in a month and I have to start training with the team. This is also the last chance I have at making my future college's team. What should I do?
