Loaaaaaaafffffffff!
LOAAAAAAFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!
LOAAAAAAAAAFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!
Interesting, before I clicked on the thread, I thought from the sound of the name he would be a black rapper. I guess I never crossed paths with his music or acting or whatever he did.

For whatever reason, his name did appear as Keith Richard on some of the early Stones records. It was a mistake repeated often enough to convince some people it was not a mistake.
Makes perfect sense. Just like all the stuff going on in today's world.
Get it straight. His name is Robert Paulson.

You been living in a cave for the last few decades?!?! It's freakin' MeatLOAF, dude!
His name was MeatLoaf. As a child he was fat-shamed with that monicker, and he courageously adopted it as his every evolving stage persona. (His real name was Robert Paulson).
I wonder if he loved or hated being very famous, but nobody knew his real name?
I can see both sides to that. Book a flight or hotel, buy a house, nobody knows Michael Aday. The benefits of being both famous but also not famous are certainly there. The only frustration would be that ego of not having your actual name up in lights or on album covers.
And allegedly, Phil Rizzuto had no idea what Meat Loaf was singing out.
He also went by Marvin Lee Aday. He also discovered he suddenly had a three and a half octave vocal range his sophomore year after a 12-pound shot landed on his head during a track and field event.
How far did he throw the shot and what was his mile PR?

Just skimmed an article about him. Looks like he was just a little before my time. I didn't start listening to the radio until 1983, and didn't know most of the artists/bands playing there because they often weren't announced. I just listened to a bit of Bat out of Hell, and I think it's the first I've ever heard it.
I used to have a friend who was an actor and he was in a movie with Meatloaf about 25 years ago. Meatloaf was housed in a luxury hotel and would always have his limo pick up my buddy as he lived close by. My friend was/is a fantastic musician and at the end of filming Meatloaf gave him a very nice Martin guitar. Classy guy.
TMZ reporting that Meat Loaf died of Covid. He was against the vaccine and was recently railing against the vaccine mandates in Australia. (not unlike our regular LRC armchair epidemiologists)
His name is Robert Paulson.

Nobody will tell you the answer, because we don't talk about it.
He would do anything for love, but he won't get vaxxxxed.

RIM Meat Loaf
I never understood how any of his songs were liked by anyone. Not trolling at all. I just belong in that camp of "I don't get why anyone likes that song". But I guess that is what music is all about. Maybe it is because my Mother used to make Meat loaf as a kid and lets just say it wasn't gourmet.
"Paradise By Dashboard Light" is the greatest song ever written, from a time when the lyrics were absolutely meaningful.

quite a bit of disco is better than meatloaf. perhaps we can honor him by no longer allowing meatloafs songs to be played. launch them into space with him.
