Amen to that.

Meat Loaf helped destroy disco
I think somebody somewhere must be tolling a bell...
RIM Meat Loaf
I never understood how any of his songs were liked by anyone. Not trolling at all. I just belong in that camp of "I don't get why anyone likes that song". But I guess that is what music is all about. Maybe it is because my Mother used to make Meat loaf as a kid and lets just say it wasn't gourmet.
RIP. Really good singer. I really wasn't a fan but liked "Two out three aint bad". What's amazing is that Keith Richard is still alive.

I was a huge Steve and Garry fan along with all the other shows on the Loop in Chicago... But as I watch that video I am struck by how unfunny it is today. The humor looks so forced. I guess some comedy really does not stand the test of time.
“I can see paradise by the dashboard light…”
I almost posted his name last week in the thread asking of someone who lost weight that wished they hadn’t. Less than a year ago Jim Steinman passed. The first album they (and Todd Rundgren) have given us is one of my top 10 all-time.

He is the father of national class marathoner Malcolm Richard.

Sorry to hear about your bad meatloaf childhood experiences. I, too had a bad Meatloaf experience, of an entirely different nature, however.
About 10 years ago, I went out to a Sushi bar with my brother and his band's lead singer (female with a booming voice). After a few too many, we decided to do Paradise By The Dashboard Light as a Karaoke duet together. Well, I gained a lot of respect for "power singing" that night. What a humbling experience. I may have had good running endurance but as for singing, I "hit the wall" big time about half way through this song. That is one TOUGH song to sing. Thankfully my duet partner carried us through the finish.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C11MzbEcHlwBTW, Jack Black would be the perfect actor to play Meatloaf when a biographical movie is made.

I thought you were joking because his name is Keith Richards, not Richard. He has been known as a hard-living member of The Rolling Stones.

Perhaps there will be another in which Jack Black can fill the roll, but the made for TV bio-pic that aired about 20 years ago had W. Earl Brown in the lead role.
Keith Richard, Rolling Stone guitarist, I'm not going to explain it, just look it up on Wikipedia or some other source. Life style, etc....wasn't much different from Kurt Cobain in his younger years.
I know, I know, I was just trollin' with my "playing dumb" routine.

Here we go again...I've never heard about this guy. When did Keith Richard replace Keith Richards???
For whatever reason, his name did appear as Keith Richard on some of the early Stones records. It was a mistake repeated often enough to convince some people it was not a mistake.

Makes perfect sense. Just like all the stuff going on in today's world.

I grew up in the 70s listening to his music and seeing him in Rocky Horror. Bat out of Hell is still one of my favorite songs and albums.
