Your view is common for people who aren't strongly aligned with a certain party after a Presidential election. This is why mid-term elections often (as in almost all the time) go to the party that is not in the White House.
While I disagree with you that the current liberal policies are not "appropriate", again, your view from a moderate at this time after a Presidential election is common.
One thing that happens when a VERY radical administration is in place (and love him or hate him, Trump was radical) is that there is often a HUGE push back as a result. Much of the push back actually happened DURING Trump's presidency...more women and POC involved in politics than ever before, NASCAR not allowing the Confederate Battle Flag to be flown at their events, racist symbols and statues removed nationwide, sports teams names changed after decades of pressure. The final big push back is that Americans voted for Joe Biden with a record number of votes...yes, JOE BIDEN! America wasn't voting FOR Biden. We were voting AGAINST Trump, making Trump the biggest loser in American history...two-time loser of the popular vote, only one twice impeached.
Regarding free health care for undocumented immigrants, much of that is one of a few things: BS noise, common practice that Emergency Rooms can't refuse service (something that has been the case pretty much forever), something that some STATES provide, not a federal policy.
One of the line items regarding the Affordable Care Act is this:
"Undocumented immigrants cannot buy plans in the exchange, but some states provide coverage for some undocumented immigrant children and pregnant women.
Are undocumented immigrants eligible for ACA coverage?
No. Although the ACA provides benefits to U.S. citizens and lawfully present immigrants alike, it does not directly provide any benefits for undocumented immigrants.
The ACA specifically prevents non-lawfully present immigrants from enrolling in coverage through the exchanges (section 1312(f)(3)). And they are also not eligible for Medicaid under federal guidelines. So the two major cornerstones of coverage expansion under the ACA are not available to undocumented immigrants."
