Hi, I am a 19 yearly old male. I am running about 45-50 miles a week on 5 days of running. Would it be a bad idea to do a 16 miles long run?

unfortunately you will go home DEVASTATED
You're already doing 9-10 miles a day. Doing 16 in a day will be fine.
If it’s a significant jump in mileage from your previous long run, I’d be cautious. Why 16?
what's the longest run you've done so far in this training cycle? i would be hesitant to go more than 2 miles over that. what's the rush? and why are you only doing 5 days a week? you've got a long time until you would potentially be doing an outdoor 10K assuming you run in college. i'm not really seeing a ton of value in doing a 16 mile long run at this point in the season unless you're already at 60+ mpw

Exactly! I's start off with 12 miles and gradually build up to 16 miles. And yeah, why 16?
