Hey there! To run for the school I want to run to, I need to break 1:54 in the 800. I ran 1:56.96 at the end of my season in June 2021. I'm working hard to try and break 1:54 this June. Would it be possible? I ran a 1:24.5 600m and still think I have improvement left in me before indoor states next month. I do 3 workouts a week(10x200 @ 28, 4x300 @ 41, 4x(400,200)@62,28) and average usually around 25 miles. My 400m time is 51.32.
I just started adding strength training this week as well. I've been feeling really good and am really striving to hit this goal. I'm a senior but the coach gave me extra time to try and reach the time so I have until June. I ran a 16:29 5k as well, but struggled with a back injury in XC, so that was a mid-season PR.
I know it's dumb for me to think there's a "yes" or "no" answer, but I just want to know the plausibility. I'm telling myself it's possible regardless. I want to go to the school even if I can't run there.
