Sorry OR. Although it's probably inevitable for most all of us at this point. Stay safe man and be careful on the rebuild. Health first.
Sorry OR. Ride it out with plenty of fluids and all. Hot toddy won’t hurt anything either
been trying to run Houston since 2018 and haven’t made it to the race This week RRR is laying low. Masking up everywhere. Not touching anything. And no one better touch me or get close to me even hell
OR: Sorry to hear this. I hope your symptoms remain relatively mild and short-term. That's mostly been the case with folks who have been vaccinated and boosted. Especially otherwise fit and healthy people like you. Dunno if it's appropriate to wish "happy birthday," but at least the best it can be given the circumstances.
BTW, I was very happy to see your return to running and to this thread. I was concerned.
Coincidentally, at the moment I am at the ER, too. My wife suddenly passed out without warning. She's conscious now, awaiting test results.

Just a lurker, but wishing OR and you/your family the best. 2022 is already off to a sh!tty start.
RRR: Man, your recent training has been super-impressive. I'm really looking forward to seeing your 2022 race results. Especially the marathon (my favorite, of course!).
Good advice. Thanks guys. I can barely move. My entire body hurts. Yes, even there. And I actually felt good in yesterday’s snow/ice 10.5. Could have gone further. I hear you, RRR…the sad thing is that I know who is the culprit for this and I believe it could have been avoided. May very well cost me my spring marathon. I am not very happy right now…

Thanks for that. No visitors allowed in the waiting room. So hanging out in the parking lot, hoping for the best.
Thank you, my dear friend Allen. The best of the best to your wife.
OR: Hang in there. Spring is still a ways away. Meanwhile, do you know if your entire family will be quarantined, or just you?
I was fortunate and had a very good young doctor at urgent care. Smart guy. He said that they should quarantine for at least five days. And thanks for the “happy birthday.” It helps. I am 53 today. The race I am targeting is on Mar. 20, and so in my view I am right on the edge. I am too old to just run it for the heck of it. I want to compete. Again, thank you Allen for your kind regards and support.

Ahhh ... dang, that's still winter. Especially here in upstate NY. My "spring marathon" is NINE WEEKS after that!
OR and Allen just wishing you and your family the best.

Thanks. going w the less is more approach for now. Had my best week this week so hopefully things are peaking up for me.
Stay healthy out there people
Best of luck OR/Allen
RS - you still have runners coming to houston? Hopefully the weather is good
