The US would be in a better spot economically without the virus. The virus hurts our economy. The government has no incentive to make it last longer. To suggest they are doing it on purpose is silly

Why do people like this guy ^keep committing logic fallacies and expect the rest of us not to laugh?
Looks like you and RandallLucy are in cahoots. So you're saying every single person you spoke to was of the same belief as you?

Why do I even try
I would ask you what logical fallacy but I have a feeling that you won’t give me one after having to look them up and realizing none fit what I said.

You assume this is simply a matter of money as if that’s all human beings care about. There have been many governments and leaders throughout history that have been more than to sacrifice some economic benefits for the sake of more power.
Power for powers sake is possibly the number 1 motivater for man. COVID and the cultivation of COVID hysteria has shown to be a very quick way for wannabe petty tyrants (bureaucrats, civil servants, local politicians) who formally had next to no power to now gather almost dictatorial power (Faucci, Cuomo, Newsom, etc) all in the name of “public health”.

Also, not to mention, the lifetime politicians who lockdown economies in the name of “public health” aren’t the ones hurting economically.

Cuomo even put out a book about the pandemic he made a pretty penny on.

It’s definitely all the United States cares about. Power in the United States is money. Big money. Not the kind of money Fauci gets paid. Power to mandate masks is not real power. Lowering taxes to benefit corporations at the expense of the middle class is real power screwing you over, not mask mandates.
Oh,lord no! Not sore muscles and tiredness for a day or two!! Heaven forbid! Get those shots updated before we all suffer muscle aches!

Even for arguments sake I take your word that “Money is all the US cares about” which I don’t think is true for all civil servants or bureaucrats or politicians
This is not all about mask mandates during the height of the pandemic one man (Cuomo) was able to shut down the wealthiest city in America singlehandedly. Newsom was able to shut down, at least partially, one of the biggest economies in the world. That’s true power, that’s the kind of power that many politicians dream of- plus neither Cuomo or Newsom took a payout. Hell I know for a fact Cuomo got a nice raise.
Is there any evidence that unvaccinated people even get the OMICRON?
We are now 6 reported, 6 vs vaccinated
You are an idiot. I hate to be blunt but apparently no one has told you. You think the power to do lock down orders for a few weeks is what officials want? All the years they spent in politics, all the campaigns and promises, all the events just to shutdown for a few weeks??
And making a couple hundred grand extra. Maybe an imbecile like you thinks it’s a big deal but it’s not that much compared to others. Most big college football coaches make multiples more than governors.

I’m sure that is normal for you tubby. That and being so out of shape a little mask hurts you.
There was an NIH doctor on Fox News this morning discussing. Said scientists need 2-3 weeks of studying this new variant to have a solid conclusion on transmisability, severity, etc.
3 months for Moderna/Pfizer to have an accommodating vaccine.
He seemed sincere and there did not seem to be any implied bias by either Fox, or the Dr., despite what you all may have as a preconceived notion about Fox news.
So far there is no evidence that OMICRON infects unvaccinated people, but there is evidence it attacks vaccinated individuals. Everybody might want to keep an eye on this. This mutation might just be a warmup like the original virus was to Delta only IG is warming up for the vaccinated.
We have no idea the extent of what Fauci created and his criminal mind. The original Wuhan Dr who died looked scared as h*ll about something when they had him strapped down. This is no accident. Until we toss Fauci in with some gang bangers we may never know.
i heard the recorded version and felt pretty much as you do.
An excerpt:
"Despite the lack of knowledge regarding protection, however, Collins encouraged people who have not been vaccinated or received boosters yet to get those shots. Collins stated that the existing shots have proven to be effective against different variants, and that boosters in particular have worked against different spike proteins.

"It's clear that in all the previous examples of variants, the vaccines have worked to provide protection and the boosters have provided especially strong protection against things like delta," Collins said. "Given that history, we expect that most likely the current vaccines will be sufficient to provide protection and especially the boosters will give that additional layer of protection."
If it turns out that a new vaccine is needed to combat omicron, Pfizer and Moderna are already working on one, Collins said. He noted, however, that this would take at least two or three months."

Proof that Omicron infects unvaccinated people, directly contradicting the lies and misinformation being allowed to spread by the likes of Noyankee on this site, ad nauseum:
"Also on Friday, the Belgian government said an individual who had recently traveled from Egypt and was unvaccinated, tested positive for the variant, marking the first case in Europe."
