This^ guy does a lot of mileage but his marathon "workouts" are terrible and not specific. WIll probably bonk late in the race. I hope I'm wrong because he seems like a nice guy.
Yeah nothing against him, just giving an honest prediction. His PR is 2:23 on a blazing fast course, and I don't believe he's done anything recently to indicate he can run faster.

What was his time in 2019 when he ran NYC just 2 weeks after Amsterdam?
Like many others obsessed with mileage, he doesn’t spend enough time on real speed work. One mile repeats are not speed work.
Before the Olympic Trials, you’ll recall that Rupp ‘s last sharpening workout was 20x400 @ 60 seconds per. That’speedwork.
I’m predicting 2:24 for Seth.
One of the rare times I’ll say a marathoner is running too much mileage. You usually can’t run low 5 pace for a whole marathon training on almost exclusively 6:30-8:30 miles. Maybe a super speed based dude that has naturally strong turnover, but not someone like Seth who’s most recent mile time trial was in the 4:40s if I remember correctly.
Love the guy though! One of my favorite content creators for sure. Best of luck to him! I’ll give him 2:21-2:22 and faster with more speed development.
Maybe in a flat marathon, he can do it one day.
2:22.45. Would love to see him go all in on road marathon training for a year.

2:24:something, which included weaving through the hundreds of NYPD and FDNY first responders and family members.
definitely over and doubt it will be a PR...so 224/225 range

He has a history of running tune-up races on very tired legs.
Speaking of tired legs, why did he run 20 miles 1 week from race day?
Lucky to break 2:30
Pretty much all of this seems right to me, did a block of 140 mile weeks quite recently...

Damn someone already guessed that.

He's running roughly 2:21 pace through the half.
He hit a wall. 5:54 pace for the last 2 miles.

Still a 2 minute Pr. Plus no speedwork.
