Got my marathons mixed up and ended up with 2 marathons in 3 weeks.
I was thinking running the first marathon at recovery pace.
Any benefits of running it at easy or recovery pace?

I did about 6 in training for an ultra, and a 50k at easy pace too as LSD time on feet and have done a couple sporatically while training for shorter distances just cause. Any runs longer than 3hours I believe are counter-intuitive for 10k and below development, but if your goal is to be decent at marathons, heck yeah 3-4hour slow runs make you feel so musculoskeletally strong to throw in training, wouldnt do them too close to a peak race on the other hand and you will probably only need an extra day of rest or super easy before your next workout if you already do 30k+ long runs.
It would make for a nice long run.
Agree but maybe not that close to the one you actually want to race. I would either scrap one or be ok knowing neither of them will be as fast as they could be. I think 4-6 weeks out is where covering the distance makes the most sense as a time on your feet run. 1:00/mile or more slower than your marathon pace. Build your strength. Run longer than it'll take you to race. Super important to recover well after that kind of an effort.

Run the first one with a short taper. This should help you recover quicker.
Race them both, but set off cautiously in the first few miles.
3 weeks out is about as far as I'd go for a final long run. I would run it ridiculously slowly. I'd even consider running 21-22 miles, walking 3-4 miles, and running the last 1.2 miles just to avoid injury or burnout.

If you are training for a 100- miler, sure.
