Last I heard, race is used by forensic anthropologists, some claim they can tell what the ancestral roots of a modern skeleton are. Don't know, I am prone to think race isn't real, small skeletal differences, or even how our brains interact with our basic instincts (which I am sure are all the same), doesn't signify that we are more than just the human race.
That said we are not anywhere near a post racial situation ,even it is a social construct, I think very few people are 100% capable of it . It is part or tribalism which isn't going away from our natures in a very long time if ever. Look at colorism. Credit people who are doing good enough at it to maybe have a diversity of friendships, and be pretty color blind as to the application of the golden rule.
Have I offended Black Runner yet? would he not run with me? Who sets the boundaries and why do they put them where they are at. I am not comfortable with that being dictated by anyone but I know it' s not safe to flaunt being an independent thinker everywhere.
I do think I could run with some people and talk about this just fine. I could raise the question about homosexuals being born that way or if it was early years. I could talk about the "plight " of many blacks in America, or whatever it is , and include issue of above average fatherlessness( I mostly blame the "no man in the house welfare guidelines" that liberals designed.) topics like this and still be quite sympathetic or at least listen to most anything someone wanted to say about oppression , I would want to trust my audience like with anything else, more than to believe these topics are taboo here there and everywhere (they are not). Considering your audience is important. It can also be a straight jacket. Here we don't have to wear that Jacket. Sure some people take advantage of it I take a chance with humor that used to be ok but isn't anymore. The young people have figured everything out and are making the new culture and language laws, right. Everybody gets shot down, here to some degree. Everybody gets mis-characterized in popular pc social chatter too, I guess , maybe except for the ones who are inventing it.
