I thought this was a world marathon major, not a local fun run.

Don't care about the expo, but WTF is with this bracelet? Anyone figure out how to take it off?
I'm considering just cutting the clamp off and gluing back together for the race so I don't have to wear it all weekend.

I would love to remove it prior to racing if possible, just super annoying. I know you need it to get on the bus, but maybe rip it off once we get to Hopkington?
I guess people would just appreciate running the Boston Marathon for the first time in s year and a half.

Wouldn't that be all the more reason to make this a bigger/better BM than ever before?

I always recommend a Big BM before a marathon

Throughout the pandemic and the Communist restrictions that came with it, we we're waiting for a long time for races to come back. They are back. Stop complaining. If you don't like it, stay home.

You also need it to get into the finish area

The lady put mine on super loose, and said I can tighten it myself. I think she was giving me an out from having to wear it all weekend. But I am an idiot and tightened it myself.
Expo was a shame, waste of time really, maybe 5 vendors? The wristbands are not a big deal tho. I don’t even notice mine. Don’t understand the bid deal about that? I don’t quite get the tiny bag we get to the start and how “rolling” it will be, if my bus is at 715 am and the elites go off at 830….wont I be waiting around for at least 30-40 minutes, even with the walk from the school to the start? Will be interesting to see how that unfolds..
Yes, but by design. COVID, bro. They didn't want people there all day. Can actually appreciate an easy number pick up expo at a marathon major & not having to be on my feet longer than I would like.
Are they selling Boston Marathon posters like they used to?
With continued restrictions I can see why they would not have so many vendors, especially when most runners just want to get their packet, take pictures and leave. I imagine a lot of vendors decided not to bother this year, since this is a half-size field with restrictions at an odd time of year due to rescheduling.
Also keep in mind some vendors had other competing marathons like Chicago they wanted to work with, and probably had planned to go through them to begin with.

Expo-🤣. It was only i-Fit showing up.

Agreed. I thought the expo was great: walk in, pick up my bib, leave. That's the perfect race expo.
Do runners always wear their Boston Marathon gear all over town in the days before the race? It seems like walking around Disneyland in a Mickey T-shirt and a set of mouse ears.

Weird that London, when the UK is up to its ears in COVID paranoia, had its people standing in absurdly long lines to pick up their gear and showed no sense of urgency in moving people through.
Well done.

I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
