I’m rooting for Scullion, who seems to get zero coverage, the guy is a beast, more potential than the likes of Fauble and Stinson in my mind.

He looks like an old woman, runs like a bully on the playground, and would probably go faster if he ran on his hands.

Well he has an Instagram account. Does that count?

Come back to this thread when he does. His training has been going insane. A lot more fit than Faubs or Bennie.
Wait and see 👀
7. Bennie, Colin (USA) - 2:11:26
16. Fauble, Scott (USA) - 2:13:46
26. Stinson, Parker (USA) - 2:21:21
What was that again? Almost 10 minutes slower, get the hell out of here with that cr*p. Parker Stinson was never in contention. He should hang up the shoes and get an adult job.
Prediction contest for how long it will take before P Stin gives his excuses on social media?
His form lends itself to stadium step repeats.
Maybe he should move home, re-center himself, run some step reps, fiercely, as he's inclined to do. If he times it right, hotties on the XC team might see his abs.
I'm sure there's some US 13K Road Championships scheduled for 2022 in Scottsbluff or someplace, that looks like a good target to focus on.
“Overtrain until it’s not overtraining” - Parker Stinson
dramatic shirtless/ race pic insta post about how he's still gonna grind to the top in 3... 2..... 1.....

lol
I was watching that Sweat Elite video with him. Ritz texts him to not overdo it in the workout. Rips in anyway the last part of the run leaving Morgan Pearson in the dust.
I bet Ritz could still beat him in the thon.
Anyone know what/if something happened? On paper it looks like he went out at 2:12 pace & just couldn’t hold it.
Remember this long tempo he did when he was still with Hudson? Watch starting at 9:05. WTH is up with this guy?

I would say that you do not know running too well. The fact that his training has been going insane is exactly the problem. He is training way above his fitness level and will run poorly on Monday,
Unfortunately this is probably true. Races all of his workouts - does it all for the 'gram. If he would drop all of his social media and concentrate on preparing for the race he may put up a decent result.
Parker will never be successful in the marathon unless he learns to train appropriately. His training was ridiculous. He ran over 2:20. I stand by what I said.
Come back when he goes out too hard again wrote:
More like come back to this thread after he goes out in 64:00 and then blows up to a 2:13. It's a net downhill course so he should be able to put up a huge time, but he typically goes out too fast and the biggest hills that do exist in this course are in the second half, which will further worsen is explosion after going out too fast.
I underestimated the amount he'd blow up. He went out in 66 and closed in 75.
He was in 4th place at the half marathon but like usual just looks like he's absolutely hammering even though it was a relatively easy pace and way too early in the marathon to look like you're hammering. He makes a 5:05 mile look like a 4:30 mile, that's not a good thing. Same with all of his workout videos, looks like he's flying but you see splits and it's actually not that fast. You can't run these long races fast if you're not running under control for a lot of it. Same thing with Rory and Fauble. Watch their 16 miles marathon pace workout. A couple miles in there is a shot where you see all of them running, they are going the same speed but Rory just looks like he's hammering and Fauble is pretty smooth compacted form with little excess motion, no long sweeping arm drives to run a relatively conservative pace, that saves a lot of energy. Can't be wasting energy in a marathon.
^^^
Rory and Fauble comparison, I mean Rory similarly doesn't run as smooth as Fauble, and that's why Fauble even on a not great day is still ahead of both of them. Fauble has that strong compact stride where other people have a ton of wasted motion.
