Just did a big session, 8x1k w/2:30 rest on my home course. Averaged 3:15 Felt very relaxed, definitely could have gone faster. Maybe a 6.5/10 level effort. Previous pr is 16:21

If actually 6.5 out of 10 then really hard to say. If that was normal effort workout then maybe 16 flat or a touch under?

That's a rather long rest. Immma go wit sub-16 maybe 15:45 🤔
Yeah 16-flat or a touch under. 2:30 rest makes it more of a strength workout but also says 3:15 is gonna be slower than what you could do for 8k on grass. That's the kind of workout someone in the low-16 or just under would be doing. I get the whole 6.5/10 thing & glad you had a good workout but just go race & race the way you want to. You were likely working harder than you thought. It's also probably a good amount of volume compared to faster stuff you might be doing. Get out in 3:10ish for the 1st k in your next race but don't open in 60 to get there.

Sub 16 with good conditions.
Honestly I don’t think 8x1k w/ 2.5’ rest at 16:15 pace is indicative of anything faster than your 16:21 PR. But if it felt easy and you feel good about it, that’s obviously an encouraging sign.
15:40- 15:45
is this a game where people try to see who can predict what he can do?
otherwise i don't get these threads.

Yes, some dont know. But they expect a spot-on calculation which is not possible.
Only a ballpark is possible....
