I thought the substance of the argument, not the person delivering it, is what matters. Very puerile approach to debate; I would be concerned if that is how you inform yourself
The Delta variant is so infectious that it does not take a very large percentage of the population to be unvaccinated for their to be a significant surge in cases that overwhelms health systems. And it demonstrate with perfect clarity how all the cries from anti-vaxxers about "freedom" are really about a "freedom" that begins with me and end with you. No one has the right to cause hospitals to fill up with COVID patients causing dangerous and even deadly interruptions in care for everyone else.

Funny post.
Now tell us what's going on in West Virginia, Idaho, Mississippi, Alabama and Montana.
And for all those people in the ICUs in Maine, MA and CT, how many were vaccinated and how many were unvaccinated?
I can’t speak for the other states you listed, but Idaho numbers are on the way down. I am not against the vaccine, but clearly there are some unknowns on its effectiveness, risks, and connection to the spread. I suspect that spread will increase in states that reopened later as well as seasonal influences.
What does it tell you if Idaho being “way down” is still multiples above the states you mentioned?
Self-own thread of the day.
Strange that the Libs have no problem with Dr. Fauci even though he was instrumental in funding gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Or, to put it another way:

Deaths per million higher than Idaho in New Jersey, New York, and California. Idaho economy better than those three states.
You self own your post.

I'd change the subject too if the thread was going the way it's going for you.

Exactly. Deflection from embarrassment.

Self-owner shifts goalposts all the way from Vermont to China.
That just might be a new distance record, folks!

Where did I mention any of those states Iggy? Are you incapable of even reading now? Why change the subject?
Oh wait, I know why. Self-own thread of the day.

Exactly, because you have no answer. And you put yourself forward as so concerned about the welfare of others. Your just another compromised liberal fake.

I've found that ignoring the mentally ill is a great way to stay sane. For example, the mentally ill keep acting like not getting vaccinated is a death sentence, but I'm still living large.

Deflection. Projection. Rejection. The Iggy trifecta.

Just once I'd like for someone making this argument to acknowledge that there are "unknowns" associated with contracting Covid and that the "knowns" are orders of magnitude worse than those of the vaccine.
The vaccine isn't a silver bullet, but may be a thalidomide-like bullet.

For once I would like someone to acknowledge the damage done to the economy, future economic prospects, education of the young, individual self-worth, and the balance that should exist in a society, versus this over-the-top ultra-liberal reaction over the past 18 months.

Ultra-liberal reaction? You seem to be viewing this entirely through the lens of US politics. It was conservative prime ministers in Italy and Australia that approved strict lockdowns in those countries. Sweden, a country know for progressive policies did not impose any lockdowns. The country in SE Asia with the strictest lockdowns was probably the Philippines. Do you consider Duterte a liberal?
Covid was a global pandemic and I don't really see that any particular strategy could be classified as "ultra-liberal" or any other political orientation.
