"look around and enjoy the nature"
There's a lot to be said for this. I was out for an easy 8 miler a few days ago. A beautiful sunny day with low humidity for the first time in weeks. With about a mile to go I was crossing a bridge and stopped to look over the side at the stream below. There was a log jammed against the bridge pier and several turtles ranging in size from a few inches in shell length to well over a foot were sunbathing on the log. Another huge turtle swam up to the log to join in on the siesta. He/she was almost too big to climb out of the water onto the log. It tried and tried but did not have the front leg strength to easily pull itself out of the water. I ended up watching this turtle's effort for over 10 minutes until it finally and successfully climbed onto the log to enjoy the sun. I then jogged in the last mile. Watching that turtle struggle, yet persevere and not give up until it got its reward was enjoyable and somewhat motivating.
