This is great. For the US to survive long term we need to cut spending by at least $2 trillion per year. Hopefully this leads to 50% of federal workers quitting or being fired so we can start saving a little bit.
Too bad there is a line of vaccinated sheep ready to suck up a government job/pension.
408 new COVID fatalities reported in Texas today. I believe that is a record high for Texas. And it is not a reporting issue due to the labor day holiday. Texas reported 286 COVID fatalities yesterday.
I found out yesterday that a guy who used to be a partner at my firm is waiting for a double lung transplant after he spent almost two months in the hospital with a severe case of COVID. He is 55 and went from being the general counsel at a big oil and gas services company to sitting at home needing oxygen 24 hours a day and needing a home health care aid.
My firm had a breakthrough infection last week and it looks like three more people caught it who worked with the guy who had the breakthrough case. The guy with the breakthrough case was going to restaurants and bars and didn't really give a crap.
My firm decided to implement a vax requirement. No one has threatened to quit over it or has requested a medical or religious exemption. Turns out that for many people all the bitching about vaccines is just bitching.
This pandemic has gone too far and taken too many lives. Time to pull out all the stops and get everyone vaccinated.

You already posted that.
TBH Biden would be GOAT if he scrapped all federal pensions too.

You made a grossly misleading statement right from the start.
Not just me. Do a search. You'll see these headlines right now that are very similar to my heading.
NBC: Biden to announce sweeping vaccine mandates affecting millions
AP: Sweeping new vaccine mandates for 100 million Americans
NYT: Biden Unveils Vaccine Mandate Plan Covering Two-Thirds of U.S. Workers
CNN: Biden announces new vaccine mandates that could cover 100 million Americans
So if your firm would intervene when partners of your firm became pregnant, you would be okay with that?
Another example of colossally idiotic hypocrisy. Is the women's so called"Right to Choose" also "not about personal choice or freedom"? The Democats are carrying out the fascism they accused Trump of intending but never did.

The Liberals want to pick and choose who gets protected by the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment. The "right to privacy" that Roe V. Wade came up with in 1973 longer applies to those seeking the right to privacy concerning whether one gets vaccinated. Sickening, these Liberals.

Delete the F'ing misrepresentation of the truth already, Because otherwise it is not a mistake, it is a lie.,
Moderators????
Any guess as to the number of lawsuits Biden has generated in his 30 minute speech ?
Ultimately, the Supreme Court will weigh in on the question of Covid vaccine mandates. Federal workers opposed to the mandate may have a case.

I work for a state govt. agency, and it is required here statewide. No big deal. Some complaining, a few threats to quit, but if we can do it, so can other states.

Well the government will probably present this as a life tax and we all know that Chief Justice Roberts just loves approving mandates as long as they are disguised as a tax.
Anti vaxxers go home DEVASTATED. Although I suspect most anti vaxxers on this board don’t actually have jobs and this won’t effect them at all.
Unleash the Kraken, let the crying begin.

If a federal vaccine mandate was implemented as get the vaccine OR pay an additional tax, then perhaps Roberts would be inclined to support that. Barrett In, Ginsburg Out. Whole new ball game.

Good luck. I reported it an hour ago.
But hey, the truth is a thing of the past.
Fisky, you are and will remain henceforward: full of Sh!t
Apparently besides the Govt. mandate for federal employees, there appears to be in the works a plan to require emplyers of 100 or more employees to reguire vaccinations of their workers, or implement some level of testing (from the NY Times):
"On Thursday, President Biden said the Occupational Safety and Health Administration was drafting a rule mandating that all businesses with 100 or more workers require their employees to either get vaccinated against the coronavirus or face mandatory weekly testing. That move would affect some 80 million workers."
Why exactly are we calling this a mandate? A weekly test is pretty weak sauce.
