Yep, they were as wrong as the people who said that a 12-0 head to head over a guy barely out of his teens meant much.
Just pushing him ahead of himself. Good guy Jacob.
I don't think Tim will beat Jakob in a world/olympic championship race again unless Jakob has some sort of injury, or unless Jakob is doubling back from the 5k.
Jakob's aerobic strength will allow him to handle the rounds much better.
Jakob was just more tired today, less rested coming off the 3k last week. He's raced a lot more than Tim this year.
The admin of this channel made an analysis and predicted a victory of Cheruiyot:

I'm not a hater, but Jakob just put his legs in the ground and got a primary feeling of the challenges that are awaiting for him.
- I experience that he (Cheruiyot) is a little healthier than me. I'm trying to get here and want to win, but it's at least a good duel. I hope we can push each other in the future as well, Ingebrigtsen told NRK after the race.
- We are happy to be finished with a long and good season. We have got what we have wanted. After Tokyo, much has been meaningless. It has been difficult to find the motivation and chase for new races, Ingebrigtsen told the TV channel.
- Yes, the race plan was fine. It gave us an honest fight. But I know quite early on that I have some "Monaco legs", that it is difficult to perform at the top. Not only mentally, but also that the body is a little done. After Toky, everything else has been a bit of an anticlimax.

Kate Grace did the same at the finish line in the 800m
jakob said tim wen't towards lane 2 at the end which caused it, Maybe something Fisher and woody should do instead of ending in lane 4 also

Tim’s back kick isn’t 6 feet long…

Just that? They were talking as if Jakob is the greatest distance runner ever! There are people here who think he is better than Cheptegei at the 5000m!
Not in a time trial, but the only time they raced this year Jakob easily beat Cheptegei and got the WL. It's obvius Jakob is one of the greatest, beacuse everytime he loses people here goes crazy. Chep has lost more races this year than Jakob and so has Tim, that's just a fact

1) he just won Olympic gold in an Olympic record time
2) he beat cheptegei in their only head to head this year
Tim wore Victorys and Jakob wore Dragonflys. The Victorys have it :)
You simply can’t hold a peak for two months. 3-4 weeks at best. Jakob is just running for money rate now. If not he would of shut it down a month ago.
