nothing like a 500ish meter track on a street!!!!11
Very curious what the surface will be like. The track always seems pretty dodgy for those street sprint meets in Boston.
This circus act of a track makes no sense.

This one looks fairly decent. Not crazy bouncy like the Boston set up.
Kovacs now leading Crouser! Can't remember the last time that's happened.
doesn't look too bad, the pacing seems all off
whole pack bunched up as no one has a clue
I was not a fan of this idea but wanted to keep an open mind and judge once I got to see the event on TV. Now seeing it, this is awful.
Why? Is it because the lack of splits is causing them to run too conservatively?

No sign of Cranny with a lap to go. Niyonsaba takes the lead with 500 meters to go.
It is confusing for the athletes, the pacer was lost immediately.
As a viewer, it is also confusing. I cannot tell pace or splits. The camera is disjointed and not smooth like a track or road race.
14:28 win for Niyonsaba over Obiri and Taye.
End of great 5000m career for Obiri. Excellent results since she transitioned up from a successful 1500m career. Now I suspect she will run 64low and sub 2:20 on the roads

Cranny ran 15:55.
I could've beaten her today!

She was the first woman in her final race
They should have just done a 1k loop road race in the city center instead.
88 seconds for the last 563 meter lap (62.52 400m pace)

When he won Worlds in Doha 2019?
Would have been nice, if indeed this was Obit's last track race, to see her go out with a win. Not for lack of trying though.
Men's 5K field is pretty weak, not a lot of big names
The big names don’t want to mess with the gimmick.
