PRs are 21:05 - 5k, 5:43 - mile, 1:40:20 - half.. for reference
recently just ran a terrible race. walk/ran the last mile. finished the 5k in 24 something minutes. I know I should not have walked and maybe should've just dropped out.
Is this time really an indicator of my fitness?
I recently (in the past 2 weeks) did a 6 x 800 workout in 3:30/800m feeling really good. Felt REALLY strong during a hill workout. 2 mile tempo/race in 12:59.
This failure of a race is all I can think about and it's hard to focus on anything else. I don't really feel confident about the next race which is a ways away. Is this race a "fluke" or am I currently stuck here?
