Im not boasting but where i live i would say im a decently talented runner, i was top at my school and we were
planning on winning the 800m at states couple months ago as well as i planning on possibly winning state 3200m. But i got injured before states and i was so screwed up in my head i thought running was the only exercise that matters so i did absolutely 0 cross training. I know i gained weight and lost all my v02 max and muscle.
Aside from that i went to multiple doctors and got multiple answers as to what the problem was. Both agreed i had a labral tear but one said i had hip impidgment that led to the tear and the other said i didn't have hip impidgment. They offered physical therapy but that didn't heal anything it just made my leg feel better
After a few months of doing nothing but sitting on my chair eating junk food, then my left leg started hurting the exact same way my right leg hurted when i stopped running, now i hear a click in both of my thigh joints. I figured out hip impingement was the issue after all.
Aside from all that i learned so much from doing a bunch of research and i learned that i am a extreme headcase who has severe OCD. So i started biking and i am started to feel better and no longer depressed and anxious.
Has anyone ever had hip impingement? Should i get surgery after doing physical therapy?
