Not talking track here or non-D1.
1. Oregon (the locker rooms/running has to be ideal. Unfortunately no altitude)
2. Colorado University (rich history, surrounded by runners and altitude, but not too high up)
3. NAU (rich history recently, also same as above, but personally I like Boulder as a city more)
4. BYU (possibly the nicest campus I've ever seen)
5. Wisconsin (Madison is a great college town)
6. NC State (great running out there, but could be confusing it with another city)
7. Boise State (slight altitude, great trails, small town feel with an actual downtown area with it's salt)
8. Stanford (I heard they give you a house on campus but you're considered a failure unless you win)
9. Michigan (Ann Arbor is nice I hear. Probably similar to Madison as far as a fun college town)
10. Portland (same general area as Oregon, polar opposite type of athlete)
Obviously this is weighted heavily by being a factor in cross country. The list would look a lot different if competitiveness wasn't a factor. I assume if you're good you likely have decent resources and support from your athletic department.
