I just had my yearly evaluation and I was told I didn't recruit enough diversity. My administrator said if I don't recruit more diversity then I can miss out on future pay increases. Is anyone else dealing with this from their administration?
My school is up north where it's cold, and we are a very expensive private school. I'm lucky to get ANY recruits to come here, now they want to to prioritize recruits of a certain color?
I am getting pressured to recruit more minorities. Part of my evaluation is the diversity of my recruiting class. I actually need to submit a list of the minorities that I bring in for official visits and the minorities that commit. Since raises are solely based on evaluations, my pay can be affected by the number of minorities I recruit.
The system is broken. Not surprisingly, I was specifically told Asians don't count as diversity.
