Ran down Dalilah Muhammad for to take a half second off her own world record. Incredible.

She will drop a 48.5 split on the 4x400m

Hard to believe, but even better race than last night’s men’s race. Right? So now this is the greatest track race ever….
That was incredible. Sidney MF Warholm McLaughlin and Delilah MF Rai Muhamed. Amazing
Go Syd Go!

I disagree. I think the men's race is still arguably the best track race in Olympic history, possibly the best track race ever. I think Sydney's performance is top four best easily though. But to each their own

Warholm’s run was a bit better than Syd’s, but this was a much better race. Muhammad was the champion and wr holder in the 395 m hurdles….but they had 5 m to go.

Not even close to last night's men's race. That's not to say the women weren't great tonight, but come on.
What a great race. Muhammed went Warholm out of the blocks and tried to hang on, it was her only chance. Syd chopped her steps on the 9th hurdle and still ran DM down. Both class acts. Mid 51s is actually world class for the open 400. Pretty cool races to watch in the mens and womens 400m hurdles.
Why was Spencer DQ'd? I'm guessing land violation?
What’s doubly insane is that the men’s and women’s 400mh followed almost the exact same trajectory. World record broken in the last few months, Gold and Silver smash that world record, and bronze runs faster than the world record that stood at the start of this year
51.46 official
I think it was cockrell who was DQ, probably due to lane violation
Really impressive. Kinda wish this came first on the Olympic schedule before the m400h, but even though the record delta is smaller the time compared with flat 400 runners is even better. Syd would have qualified comfortably for the semis with the ~15th seed compared to Warholm who would have had the ~30th flat 400 seed.

Said on NBC it was a lane violation.
Is she doping?

Both races the top THREE were under the WR as it was entering 2021! That’s amazing. Yes, even 3rd was under the previous (to 2021) WR!

What makes the men’s race the best ever other than the insane time by Warholm? Not disagreeing just curious!
Iron sharpens Iron.
Love it! Congrats Sydney!! Your journey has been amazing to follow. Smile. Live it. You deserve it!
Amazing job Dalilah!!
Good to see real sportsmanship.

Seeing that 45 on the timer was just jaw-dropping. I was expecting low 46 but never really believed it would be 45.
And since Sydney had already run 51 the time wasn't really a surprise. It was pretty expected.
