Great win
Great win
That deserves a black page, brojos!
Impressive run by Mu. Owned the field. Great finish by Hodgkinson - also only 19 - who was only 0.6s behind. Reekie went too hard 200 out and so lost the bronze over the last few metres. Smart run by Rogers for 3rd. Good race.
I can see Mu getting close to 1.54 and Reekie 1.55 in the future.

She ran the way you must run when you are the best by far. NO TACTICS, run your competitors into the ground.

Gold baby! Athing is incredible!!
She looks like a 1:52 runner to me, by the time Paris comes around. So very talented. And a good head on her shoulders, too. Tactics are for those who aren't good enough. Just run, baby. Just run.
A performance reminiscent of Kudisha's frontrunning. That was awesome, Rogers as well!
Kicking myself for not putting money on her from the start.
That was so dominant.
And Raevyn Rogers with a PR for bronze. Mu was so good up front and Raevyn so far back with 100 to go, I never even saw her. When they said she got bronze I thought it had to be a mistake.
She runs like a highschooler.
A namibian highschooler.

I thought Warholm deserved it for a week! Now he not even get it for 12 hours.
All of the medalists negative split! I wonder if this has ever happened before in such a fast women's 800.
Mu -57.9 + 57.3 = 1:55.2
Hodgkinson - 58.4 + 57.5 = 1:55.9
Rogers - 58.9 + 57.9 = 1:56.8
Reekie - 58.3 + 58.6 = 1:56.9 (first positive split in the field)
Incredible race. It wouldn't have worked but I wish someone took it to Mu - maybe couldve gone even faster

That’s the beauty of T&F!
Warholm is at the peak of his career and Mu is just getting started. By the time she finishes she will have Warholm-like accomplishments, maybe better. Barring injury she should end up being the USA’s greatest middle distance runner ever. The intriguing question is what if anything will be her second world class event. The 400 is a no brainer, but I’d like to see her put in some 1500 training and racing at some point, maybe after Eugene and before Paris, just to see what she can do. I think she can end up being a world beater at that distance too.
what is rogers' last 100m split?

She’s getting kind of close to 1:54 already!
What sealed it even further for me with Mu was her delight in seeing Rogers won the bronze. She looked so happy for her teammate.
What a badass woman. Can't wait to see what else she can do.

Everybody here knows he's a hypocrite.
