ouch, that's a bit like treating Poland as part of Germany...

STFU, YOU BIG BABY, I'M AMERICAN AND I SAID THE OPPOSITE, CUZ THOSE ARE THE FACTS AS I SAW THEM.
jewett seemed to be well behind the man in front of him. i don't see how this is anybody but Nijel's fault

Oh, geez.
Maybe she meant similar time zone :-)

Yeah that was over-the-top embarrassing. Shouldn't they have tried these former athletes out during the Olympic Trials before bring them on the big stage

Jewett causes the fall, ran into the foot of the runner in front of him. Sunglasses didn't help.
Jewett didn't touch Tuka. Incidental.
Barshim looks absolutely unstoppable. 2.37m with no failures yet and plenty if height. Hopefully he wins comfortably so he can take some shots at the world record again

Rotich looks unbeatable. He also looks like a total prick.
replay from the front angle looks like jewett clipped guy in front of him, but view from behind or side appears he was far behind that guy. i don't know. camera optics can be deceiving
The fall reminded me of Julia Heymach when she fell in the 1500m semifinal at NCAA’s.

I just did a slow mo replay/rewind. As rotich moved up to the outside, Amos moved in towards the rail. That took the very small room he gave to Jewett. Amos's knee brushed Jewett's toe, but it was enough to take Jewett down.

No the fact is what I said. Usually Americans will blame the other runner. Critical reading skills. And no one uses capitalization anymore when they have to stomp their little feet.
Strange but true an Australian could win a medal in the 800m. Peter is the first Australian to make the final since 1968!

If that's the case, Jewett should get Lane 9.

I think he'll win too, just seems like this pointing and gesturing we see is unneccesary.

They're tossing around "best HJ final ever", last I heard that was during the Barshim-Bondarenko duel when both jumped 2.42, that was one of the first pro meets I attended back when the NY Diamond League was a thing. This could definitely surpass that in depth at least, maybe in height as well. Some great energy from the small crowd too

I also saw it like that Jewett caused it. Is there a chance for Amos to get into the final then?
Nope, just rewatched it, Jewett's front legs were nowhere NEAR Tuka's. It had to be Amos clipping him. At first I thought it could be Roetich clipping his arm, but watching the replay again, nope, Roetich wasn't close enough. Tuka was too far in front and Roetich was too far behind. Either Jewett fell all by himself, of Amos clipped him. It really looks like Amos just slightly clips Jewett's right foot with his knee/quad when it is back, and Jewett brings the foot forward into his own left calf, causing him to go down.
Once again Warholm gets an outside lane. This is no longer a coincidence.

I believe you get lane choice if you have the best times from the previous round?
