Oh look all the people saying lockdowns are hurting people's mental health don't actually care about other people's mental health.
Can't be that she's young, outspoken, black and a women could it?

I agree with the yips analogy. What is different with the flips and twists these athletes are doing is if, as it seems her head was messed up, she could break her neck. Apparently she has been getting therapy and medicine to try yo get her right, but obviously she is not. The vault she did she totally butchered doing only 1 1/2 twists instead of 2 1/2 which left her body in the wrong position for the landing.
Lame. Obviously didn't want the dub bad enough
Kobe might’ve missed 30 in a row, he still would’ve taken the 31st shot
I think she hyped herself up too much prior to oly by putting goat on everything she owned. Karma can be a b*****.

Please, you really didn't just say that.
It can't be proven that was, and even if she was, she certainly has abdicated the throne.
That was not "GOAT" behavior.
It’s cute that you think that, but it doesn’t make it so. I don’t know why the facts hurt your feelings so much, but she is undoubtedly the GOAT.
Tell you what. Let's compromise and say that she isn't the GOAT. Because she isn't.

And he would have hit it.

Seems to me that she made a lot of commercials and earned a lot of money doing so, so she put herself out there for all of the attention. She monetized herself.
Well, she just came out and told the world it was her mental state.
Let’s try and have some empathy. If you’ve heard her talk about career, she keeps it real. She always reminds people she’s human and she does not call herself the GOAT, though she is. She’s very supportive of her teammates and they love her. She just happens to be an amazing gymnast who has overcome a lot in her life, including sexual assault by her team doctor. Yes, she has profited because of her past accomplishments and she is the face of these games in the US, but she earned this by what she’s already done. I know all of you SEAL team 6 members will be let down by her softness, but me, a regular office worker who could not imagine standing on the beam at the Olympics, let alone having already won multiple golds, is still impressed.
What a sad turn of events for Team USA. What happened to the perseverance and grit? Reminds me as a kid watching the 1996 Olympics. Kerri Strug broke her ankle and still went out to clinch Gold for the team. That was inspiring.

4 pages of dudes claiming to care one whit about ladies gymnastics.
Would not be surprised if she makes a "miraculous" recovery before the all around and individual events.
That's just what "GOATS" do.
Gen Z athletes need to get off social media. They are far, far too sensitive.
I had a lot of pressure on the mission to kill Bin Laden. But not a single member of our team dropped out due to pressure (and we were NOT on social media).
This is just like Maverick in "Top Gun", where the person's head just gets messed up to the point they can't function.
You have absolutely no idea about certain situations until you are in it, ask any person who has had a family member or loved one with mental health issues. From the outside you may think of ways to logically solve it or say toughen up.

When do I get my apology. I was basically called a liar and sexist and had my post deleted for reporting that the announcer said it was her mental state 3 hours ago

Just like "Cougar".
Cougar was number one, Maverick was number 2. Cougar lost it, turned in his wings.
Maverick became number 1.
Biles lost it, turned in her "GOAT" hoofs. GOAT no more.
Except all bolt had to do was not trip. Track and field is nervous stuff until the gun goes off. In Gymnastics the pressure never ends. Beams was giving me an anxiety attack, and even when that’s over they have more stuff to worry about.
Cougar as well, but Maverick would not engage for quite a while.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
