To all the posters defending Alberto yet know nothing about him, read Win At All Costs. He is a very troubled person and not someone who should coach ever again.

Wtf happened to court of law. Mary Cain made allegations. As of now that's all they are! Never defended in court at all. Geesh wtf. I'm not a big al sal fan but Jesus Christ there's supposed to be some sort of due process before you give someone a lifetime ban
LOL, what? The allegations were from 2019. Then came the investigation with due process.
J. Procedural Rights of Respondents
Federal law provides Respondents with certain procedural rights. 36 USC § 220541(a)(1)(H). For any action taken against a Respondent, including an investigation, the imposition of sanctions, or any other disciplinary action, the Center must provide procedural due process to the Respondent, which includes:
1. The provision of written notice of allegations against the Respondent;
2. The right to be represented by counsel or other advisor;
3. An opportunity to be heard during the investigation;
4. A reasoned decision from the Center if a violation is found;
5. The ability to challenge through arbitration any temporary measures or sanctions imposed by the Center.
You Nike shills with your outright lies aren't funny anymore.

True story:
it was 2010 and Bill McChesney Sr has invited me to his house down in Eugene. Their walls were covered with their sons personal awards and photos etc.
Somehow we started talking about Salazar and Senior said that his son told him once that everyone should hope that Salazar would never become a coach and would either ruin athletes or get them banned.
I asked him a bit more and he and his wife stated that Salazar was called Alberto Sleazy by the guys.
There is no way I am the only person Senior told this too.
Guys they knew what the rest had to figure out 40 years later.
I'm not disputing that any of this actually took place, but I believe that Galen, Mo, and Sifan, among others, have neither been ruined by his coaching nor have been banned. Also, I'm not a math magician but 2010 was only 11 years ago, not 40.
Safe Sport is the official body that is banning Salazar. Therefore it is their responsibility to make their report public. It is not the responsibility of the person being banned and certainly not the responsibility of any of the witness's in the case to make the report public.

Isn't this the same Mary Cain stuff from Fall 2020?
I don't think there was anything remotely sexual.
Pretty sure Kara Goucher has claimed he made advances on her when drunk
In her dreams.
I do not doubt he had something coming.
I am very suspicious of a left-wing activist institution without the same responsibility as our judicial system assuming serious power.

For the records, this came from the Senate, the House, and the President 2017/2018 - all in Republican hands.
Take a gander at SS's Response and Resolution Process. Note that arbitration, if chosen by sanctioned Respondent, is also private.

Guys, don’t coach women.
Save yourselves from the emotional roller coaster ride that you didn’t sign up for.
The process is irrelevant.
The people making these decisions are not responsible the way actual judges are.

If you do coach women then you at least need an assistant women’s coach to tone down the testosterone. That’s where NOP failed.

The conversation between "runnint" and McChesney Sr. took place in 2010.
In the 2010 convo McChesney Sr told the story of some events that happened with his son, McChesney Jr, from 40 years ago (in the 1980s). McChesney Jr. competed from the 70s through his death in early 90s including being at OU at the same time as Salazar.

I await your instructions, sir!

I agree with you. I just think the guy carries a cloud with him.
It was Bill McChesney JUNIOR who told his dad that back in the 70s! He died in a car crash in 92'.
His dad was telling me about what his son said about A.S. back when they were running together at Univ of Oregon, again, in the 1970s.
Rulings without any published reasoning or facts considered are pretty much impossible to evaluate. Why isn't any of that public?

My mistake...definitely poor comprehension on my part.
I will add that it's seems improbable that questionable behaviors from AlSal just developed overnight later on his life. If he was sleazy around women recently or had inappropriate interactions with his female athletes, he's likely to have just always been that kind of person. So nothing on AlSal's part has probably changed much in his entire life to that regard, but the sport and culture in general has obviously become far more sensitive to things like mentor/mentee, coach/athlete, boss/subordinate kind of relationships as well as mental health and well-being, safety and fairness among other things than back in the 70s and 80s when he was a young athlete and beginning his coaching career.
The scrutiny of this guy is unprecedented, yet his supporters still don't believe a word of it.
Smoke=fire.
What is the sexual misconduct? Commenting on someone's size of butt?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
