Its that time of year. Watching all the "Olympic village chasers". Every Olympics (summer and winter), its always a shock how many people from competitive nations secure spots on small third world teams so they can bang away in the Olympic village in the orgy of their dreams.
Or for usa case, third world distance runners come here....
But I digress..my official list of rules and suggestions for the IOC to clean this mess:
1. You must be a citizen of the country, dual citizenship is strictly not allowed. All prior citizenships must be permanently renounced.
2. You must have been a citizen of the country for at least 8 years(2 Olympic cycles)
3. You must have lived at least 50% or more of your life in the country being represented
4. Items 2 and 3 can be waived if athlete served in the nation's armed forces in a front line combat role (looking at you US Army MANVI WCAP program, no "water treatment specialists" allowed)
5. You must speak the nations language at a basic level of fluency(high school level)
What else?
