At least for XC UO will have Hocker Teare Mestler and Brown
With the addition of Bienenfeld from Cinci and young guys like Holland coming up, can this team be stopped?
No they can't.

If true a top 4 of teare, hocker bienenfeld and mestler is gonna be real hard to beat
Can you provide a link to where this has been confirmed?
my opinion was that all of the NCAA miler breakthroughs happened this season due to the lack of XC. not sure how i feel about Cole and to a lesser extent, Cooper doing a 10K XC focused cycle.
Nuguse from Notre Dame was top 25 in 10k XC this year and then set the NCAA record and made the Olympics in the 1500.
You people have no clue how training works lol. How is XC season any different than typical base training for an elite 1500/5k type?
oregon gonna be real strong if their pharmacist returns
NAU will still spank them in XC. They only lost Luis and they’re getting back a healthy Quax. The depth on NAU will make them untouchable in XC once again
Silly you, Drew uncommitted and went pro like a bunch of years ago!

it's really quite simple, actually. not running several all out efforts in 8k and 10k.
i'm not even high mileage bashing here.
Hocker will run PAC12 8k and nationals 10k only. Regionals if they need him but it will assuredly not be all out. 2 races for the late fall for Hocker would be just fine.

What do they know that Kessler doesn’t? According to this board his only smart option was to go pro. So he could become the next Drew Hunter.
Is Blaise Ferro coming back for another year?

It's really quite simple, actually: 4 out of the top 6 1500m runners at NCAA's this year (2 of whom ran 3:34 and 3:36 and one of whom is going to the Olympics) ran at NCAA XC nationals this year. You have no idea what you're talking about and your hypothesis is laughably moronic. Cross country helps strength based milers -- always has, always will.
Yes Hocker is a 1500/5000 type with great natural speed. I personally like the idea of Hocker going pro after indoors in 2022.

Lets hope that doesn't happen. Drew Hunter is the perfect example of why you should not go pro out of high school. However considering Kessler is training with Nick Willis' coach and under Willis' guidance I think we can not worry for now since they aren't going to overdo it too early.

Kessler is in the unique position of being faster at 1500m than the Oly trials champ as well as the NCAA record holder. Drew Hunter was not in this position. Alan Webb was not in this position. As he showed at the trials he still has room to improve tactically, but if this dude has even a marginally good day then most races at the NCAA level are going to be a waste of his time. Yes he will obviously have competition in the likes of Hocker and others at the top but at the pro level he’ll be getting real race experience more often, going up against people who may not have his extreme level of talent but the experience to beat him. In the NCAA he’d just be plowing over all the competition until the end of the season, at which point he *might* get beat.
And this way he also gets to make money and pick and choose his races to an extent. Lots of wins, he just has to keep putting it together if it’s gonna last obviously.
