m really struggling with this hip flexor. I took the two days off , didnt cross train and just lounged around and iced and stretched. After the 2 days I felt amazing and was really excited to get back to training. Yesterday, Sunday the 19th was my first day back and it felt really good. I didnt have any pain and took it really easy. Today however, I really started to struggle, even while taking it easy. I dont know whether its the fact ive been running up and down rolling hills, which is a lot different than the flat ground in my hometown (im on vacation), or its something else. I havent switched my training shoes, just got new spikes for XC. I really need advice on how to deal with this mentally and physically. Should I push through it? My original thought was that I just tweaked it while going downhill, and I dont think its the mileage increase I did because the injury wasnt some gradual buildup of hip pain. One day during a run I felt my hip tighten up, kind of like a cramping sensation, and the rest is history.
