His coach Bernard Ouma I believe is one of the Athletics Kenya coaches. Shouldn't be an issue, I think.
And it would've been a shame to have Tim not there. He was off his game for 1 day out of 365 with a hamstring issue and the death of someone in his family.
I will say the second-placer Kamar Etiang did look very impressive in that race, so he's one to watch for. And you have to feel quite bad for him that due to no fault of his own his great running was for naught. It looks like he has solid management and can hopefully replicate the second place finisher in the 5,000 in 2019 who couldn't go (Simiyu) but then made the team this year.
