Chelimo actually never makes contact with the Burritoman Track Club runners down the stretch
Um, Hocker was boxed in too until the last 120 meters, and managed to break out and still catch up to/outkick the reigning Olympic champion. Engels looked exhausted at the end. Hocker will be running in the Olympics off of his world ranking, that’s how it works. You seem a little deluded over this, with all of your posts on multiple threads repeating the same exact thing.

The same rabid dogs kept Hocker caged in for quite a while too.
That was simply a ploy to make it look legitimate. We all know the bottom of the barrel athletes in the back had no chance so they worked together to ruin someone’s race. That person happened to be Craig. Can’t wait for a Engels to become rich off this lawsuit.

You sound like a Trump supporter
Yes, he's sweet, baby.
He would have qualified with a 3:40. He's comfortably on the list with 3:35.x

Best post I’ve ever seen. Hocker is a god but he won’t make it. Just wait on it. Meme me if I’m wrong.
Agreed. Hocker did well tonight but will most likely be burnt out by next month and if Jakob decides to run the 1500 he can kiss the medal goodbye because it will not a tactical race!🤣
Craig hates Trump and this guy likes him so yeah not sure where you’re getting that
Actually, that would be Brazier's
Hockers sprinting form is pretty funny.
Engels needs to start doing some upper body work
My God! I can't believe that some dopes on this forum are actually hoping that the best 1500m runner in the US doesn't go to the Olympics. There are some very weird people out there.
I'd not worry about Cole Hocker's quality here. He may have ragged form but if he's in the general vicinity, awfully hard to beat him in the last 100m. He came on like gangbusters despite spotting Centro that much space. He ran 3:35.28, just over the Olympic qualifying time despite that slow pace (2:56 1200m for the leader) and a terrible box. For the Olympic final, if he makes it, he will need to get better position.
The OP is incorrect. Hocker is 100% going to be on the team due to his world ranking. It will get a huge boost after tonight.
We will pay out $100,000 if his world ranking is not high enough to get him on the team ($10,000 per year for 10 years).
Tonight's race should be worth 1271 ranking points (1171 points for the time + 100 bonus points for the win). That will raise his world ranking by a ton as it will replace his lowest scoring event (1120). So he gains 151 points (divided by 5) so 30 points.
He'll move up to #26 in the world rankings. He'll literally be the first guy into the Olympics on world ranking. 38 guys have the standard. He'll be in at #39 and they take 45. His ranking is higher than everyone in the world who doesn't have the standard which makes sense as he's run 3:35 low twice.
Redneck Hero goes home DEVESTATED!

Hocker won, had a devastating kick but he's not going to be that fresh.
It's not that hard to freshen up in four weeks like he's been racing for a while but he's got time, he'll be there.
As much as I'd like to see this it's doubtful.
Those were some of the stupidest racing tactics I've ever seen, I can't believe he won. One thing I'll say: Centro certainly didn't give it to him.
It says that you're stupid beyond belief, we're sending the running Olympic champion, the raining multiple time institute champion, a young running prodigy, and they run this week in oppressive heat, I think it says we have a pretty damn good team look at our 800 team still pretty darn good even though we missed having the world champion on the team. American middle and long distance running has never been better.
Hawkers just getting started, something with has had the longest relevant career of any American little distance runner ever 11 years and counting.
We got Clayton Murphy, Cole Hocker and Jakob Ingebrigtsen to accumulate distance medals in Tokyo. White boy summer is now in full effect.
