Zoomx without a plate. I found the peg turbo 2 very plush.
Novablast. I just finished 100 miles on a pair i bought on clearance. So bouncy! Like a cheap motel bed

Softest shoe out there right now is the Brooks Glycerin 19.
I also like very cushioned, easy runs in Glycerins, faster stuff in Pegasus Turbo 2s, hard long runs in VF4%

The Glycerin update is sic, new super foam is amazing but you have to wait until spring 2022 to try them . The "thicker is better" myth will be put to rest just like the barefoot movement was.
Unlike the minimalist movement, there is no pseudoscience involved in the maximalist "movement". Some people just like soft shoes.
For what it’s worth: I don’t think that the softest shoe will necessarily be the most forgiving shoe for your mileage increase. I’ve tried softer shoes with big stack height and I actually end up with more ankle pain/problems (although I’ve managed to avoid real injury) when I run a lot in shoes that I really sink into.
When I increase my mileage I go for the most economical shoes: most miles per dollar. I’ve had great luck with outdated ASICS cumulus, NB Propel, Kinvara’s in the $35-50 range.

I also use this lineup. Any thoughts on replacements for the Pegasus Turbo 2? I’m super sad they’ve been discontinued. These have been my favorite training shoe of all time.
I agree but with the new midsole compounds you can have a soft shoe with normal stack heights that is softer than shoes with traditional compounds and higher stack heights. To me the Glycerin 19 is softer than the Bondi and the new super foam Brooks has coming is a game changer in the everyday trainer category. Also, for me, Brooks seem to fit the best and have the best uppers.
