The Clifton actually has a softer feel than the bondi.
I’m not a fan of the shift. Had a very firm feel for such a large stack height.
I have read that in some reviews people saying they found a Clifton to provide more cushion than some Bondi version but that was not the case in the brand new Bondi 6 and Clifton 7 that I purchased a few weeks ago from Running Warehouse. With Bondi 6 on one foot and Clifton 7 on the other the Bondi clearly had more cushion than the Clifton. The Bondi 7 reportedly has the save mid-sole as the 6. The Clifton 8 mid-sole has a minor change from the 7 in the midsole the flex lines. I think the Clifton 8 uses the same EVO foam at the 7.
If someone has samples where one of the latest 2 versions of the Clifton has more cushion than the latest 2 versions of the Bondi then maybe Hoka has a quality control issue with too much variance in production. Either than or they are working from memory or one shoe has more wear on it than the other.
In the past there could have been a case where the Bondi was firmer. I believe the Bondi 4 and 5 may have been much firmer.
