Mehra should be DQ'd for the shoulder barge on Maclean.
What I came here to say
Maclean not in the final - Coogan should protest

Cory McGee's running style is very choppy. Dani looked good until the end.
Really fast heat.
Valarie Allman 69.92 on second throw for US #3.
Her throws today are 69.45 (#4) and 69.92 (#3). American record is going down tonight!

Based on this pace looks like Lancaster is definitely out, shows the benefits of being in the 2nd heat knowing the pace of the previous one
Gotta go out faster than 2:20 for 800.

She could out-throw Daniel Stahl with a throw like that. Absolutely ridiculous.
jenny looked like she was struggling the last 100m dont see her being top 5 in the final

nice
Solomon Simmons came up kind of empty in day 1 of the decathlon today. Was waiting for him to post a big event somewhere and it just didn't happen. Way back in 9th right now.

Looks like she elected to conserve energy for the 2nd place qualifying spot.

Sinclaire is gonna make the team. Not sure how bold a prediction that is
Pretty bold, but not ridiculously so. I'm guessing top 5 or 6 but not on the team. The big guns like Osika and McGee were doing just enough to safely make it through to the final. They'll show their true speed then.

Yep. She just illustrated that she should never have passed the 6th grade. Dumb beyond belief.
Sha'Carri may not be book smart, but she's street smart and works hard. She'll be fine.

Dude trying so hard to avoid saying pronouns with Hiltz lmao. Poor guy.
I definitely don't blame him.
Went to Wikipedia. Wikipedia refers to Hiltz not as him or her but rather as "they." What the hell is a they?
Sowinski didn't take it out nearly hard enough. Feel bad for him not making the final, feel like he's come up short so many times over the years
Sowinski paces the field through the 400 in a "blazing" 52.58. He forgot to step off the track however when his pace setting duty was over.
How many damn commercials do we need
Drew Windle 1:51, yikes
Brandon Miller, NCAA runner up, goes home devastated.
Agree with the comment that Simpson was working. Looked strained on the backstretch and not covering moves as easily as in years past.
Purrier, Osika, and Maclean or Johnson. Hiltz also looked the best they've looked all year (see, it's not that hard).

"They" is the new "not he" and "not she." Welcome to the year 2021, where anyone can be anything for any reason. My pronouns are we/us because I have multiple personalities.
Home stretch of that heat 2 looked so painful. Kind of impossible to "shut down" in the 800 heats when everyone is shutting down just due to the mechanics of the race. Koech, Sowinski, Miller, Windle all out so these semis weren't for nothing.
What is the threshold that separates a "hobbyjogger" from a "sub-elite" runner?
