Might as well make this the discussion thread. Meet about to start. Keni Harrison starts her attempt at redemption in the 100 hurdles, first race of the night.
i'll plug my LRC Live script which i'll be using for this thread:

women's 100m is the big final today but the semis of the w1500 and m800 are when the first big chunks of athletes will be eliminated (which didn't happen in the first round).
Keni runs 12.49! Amazing run, really separated from the entire rest of the field, second place 12.89 that's huge
Is 1500 close for anyone competitive?
Top 6 guarantees qualification. I suppose heat 1 will finish competitively.

No top 6 was for first round, for semis it will be top 5 each heat plus only the next 2 fastest. Everyone with the standard can theoretically move on to the final because there are 3 in the first semi & 4 in the second. But there are 24 athletes and only 12 are advancing so there will probably be at least one suprise
McNeal (Rollins) gtfo 😡
Brianna McNeal competing, appeal decision on July 23. Honorary member of the Burrito Track Club?
Bednarek looked very good
Bogus non-false-start in first heat of men’s 100.
Young looked decent

that's the third time this has happened so far IIRC, seems like some sort of reoccurring issue.
Bromell runs 9.84 not wind legal +2.7! Weird wind, for most of the other races it's been a slight headwind if anything, maybe it's strong crosswinds. Great time if it wasn't a "normal" tailwind
Bromell lol
Gatlin lol
Good stuff. Rodgers doesn’t automatically qualify
I knew that was wind aided as soon I saw the time that looked too easy.
Ato Boldon -- "There's a reason why Justin Gatlin has that collection of medals." Yes, there is.
I don’t trust that wind reading. That was a good-looking race by the top 2. I think the wind was less than 2.7
Gatlin looked surprisingly decent. Bromell shutting down early.
Trayvon and Abbey need to get a worship circle goin

I'm not a sprint guy. I thought if the buzzer when off due to a reaction time quicker than 0.1 then it was an automatic false start (the assumption being that a human cannot react this fast and thus moved too early). Is this not the case, and, if not, why not?

Idk. I think he can go 9.9 “easily” atm

True but it can be overruled.
Something crap about the wiring/sensors
