The track world was devastated because an innocent Shelby is not competing. This is the worst thing ever to happen to US running.
After J. Gault's writing and Rojo's posts this week, both men should step down. With no evidence to the contrary, both men defended a guilty PED cheat.

The doping was the worst thing to happen.
Accountability.

Sure, whatever. Did you look at the site traffic numbers? Off the charts!!

Are you really surprised. Gault and Rojo only write Opinion Columns. They have absolutely no journalistic abilities.
Did they interview Shelby or Jerry yet?
Did they go locate the food truck.
No, they stayed on the couch and wrote garbage disguised as journalism.

It's just the same forum members drooling over the same 432 Shelby Houlian posts.

I do not need an economics opinion from you poster. If Gault & Rojo didn't act like fools by defending a drug cheat, posters would still post here. I did not say the site should be shut down, I am stating Gault & Rojo are irresponsible. They know I am correct. If I were not correct, Gault would be writing columns praising Houlihan and Rojo would be posting nonsense posts stating Houlihan is innocent. Right now, Gault & Rojo are hiding in shame.
What rubs me the wrong way is that they had a vendetta and agenda against Salazar and NOP when that went down.. their bias to destroy the Hispanic Alberto and NOP was palpable... and here, we find ourselves in the same boat: witnessing their bias towards the pretty white girl. Oh, no, she can't be guilty.. she's such a nice girl.. it's pork, it's the handler.. anything but Shelby and BTC and Jerry/Shalane are FRAUDS.
They can still redeem themselves by writing an article on how dirty BTC is, but we shall see.

Given the advancing tide of wokeism on Letsrun, I'm not surprised by this pitiful comment.

That's not really fair. They seem to have disappeared. They could be on the beat tracking down that food truck as we speak.
Nah. They're probably sitting in a booth at Tracktown Pizza trying to figure put what minor figures in the sport will still speak to them while shat posting under multiple handles to boost site traffic.
I legit think Gault and Rojo are pretty devastated right now that they were blatantly lied to by several of their trusted sources over the last few days or figured out they have been constantly lied to by these same sources. They're probably doing some soul searching right now about what they want to say. They do need to say something.
ah, incitefool.
You need to re-read the articles they wrote. They made the case based on legal principles.
Pretty basic.
yup. It is pathetic that a running site would support someone who has gone through all the appeals and is still determined to be a doper. I guess they don't care about clean sport at all, or really, the sport at all.

^This. Their hypocrisy is absolutely ridiculous. They have lost all their credibility.

Yeah, I mean, I'm usually pretty critical of LRC and they really couldn't separate themselves as fans of BTC/Shelby. They needed to wait a day, step back, think about how they usually respond to doping allegations, and try to present us with all of the facts of the case instead of defending someone where we do not know enough to really be able to do that.
They also are still feuding about the same old race issues and continue to not acknowledge the role that plays in stuff like this. They said they defended Lawson in the same way but they wrote an article, not defending him but presenting his case, 3 months after CAS issued their decision. USATF wasn't chomping at the bit to allow Ajee Wilson, Will Claye, Brenda Martinez, and Jarrion Lawson, to compete while they fought their charges. How about an article acknowledging that and talking about what sort of a precedent that would set if your national governing body doesn't follow the international governing bodies?

The irony is that this time, it weren't just doping allegations as for Rupp and Farah, but right from the "start" (because the case was kept secret since December):
- positive A and B tests for a steroid (December 2020)
- AIU ban (January 2021)
- CAS decision confirming the doping (June 2021)
And then it came out that CAS unanimously decided that the drug cheat did not plausibly explain her positive tests. That means, even the CAS "judge" who was hand-picked by Nike lawyers sided with AIU against the drug cheat.
But even after that, the letsrun admin kept supporting the cheat. Plain disgusting and embarrassing.
