800 results are final. No changes except for the DQ of the LSU runner who ran about 2:13 for next to last.
Did the lady announcing just say that college runners are no longer running high mileage, but are running less mileage with more intensity? As a way to explain how fast everyone is running? Does she know anything about trends in USA distance running?
It’s like Jill asked someone to describe one random workout and decided to focus her whole commentary on it.
Mercy and Carmela are both 25.
It blows my mind that we can watch 50 laps of a 10,000 on tv and they don't once mention the shoes. It's laughable really.
600s! Can i tell you about 600s?! What about vo2 max 1200s?!
Did you know she ran on this track a million times 30 years ago?
Did you know that you can hear the footsteps of someone 2 feet behind you on the track?

Did you really laugh? I doubt it

Lolol all that drove me nuts.
Nice looking form from the Spaniard, looked smooth.
Makes the recent WR’s all the more insane!

all the announcers love to talk about, back in their day... don't nobody care about that. we don't know who y'all are and you obviously know very little about the sport today.

I’m quitting letsrun until rojo shuts up about this.
Maybe you should go out and run in the shoes maybe you’ll stop crying.
Turned out to be a good race.
That low mileage and vo2 max work is really paying off.
Read the 800-1500-steeple racap from today. Didn't realize Jenny Barringer and Leah O'Connor used their future married names when they put times down for the NCAA top ten.

Pretty sure he is talking about men's and women's 10k over the last 2 days.

Of which maybe 15-20 were on TV.

True
What is this low mileage stuff? I can't imagine low mileage working for 10000M runners. I can see a greater emphasis on easy days being easier than when I ran 40 years ago, but the mileage is still there. I couldn't believe what the announcer was selling.
Ah yes, 6-8 x 600 @ mile pace, with the last 400 "cutting down". The quintessential 10k workout.

supposed to be a key for developing speed stamina! at least Jill says so.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
