Believe what you like, the point is a BIOLOGICAL male cannot compete against a BIOLOGICAL female. Fight for a new category but don’t think you’re going to ruin women’s sports.

So an 11 yr old kid competing on a middle school cross country team would ruin women's sports?
Wow. Thank you, West Virginia state government. Now all the cis girls have a chance to win cross country races.
Keep this 'liberal' mindset sh!t out of it. I am pretty 'liberal' and can tell you most people I know do not agree that young kids should just be able to 'decide' to be a different gender. I wish people would just stop parroting fox news talking points.

I also asked for evidence for your claim that "gender dysphoria" is caused by "lack of androgen exposure during the brain development."
You have not provided any.
The human brain takes circa 25 years to complete development: 40 weeks in utero and 24 + years outside the womb.
Exactly when during this process does the "lack of androgen exposure" you speak of occur?
I'm no scientist but pretty sure a lot of things are decided in utero that affect a person for the rest of their life.
On top of that, pretty sure there's probably no definitive proof about the cause of transgender issues. Same as with gay/lesbian; scientists don't know yet. Absence of proof doesn't mean much tho, things r discovered all the time.

Gender is a social construct.
Unless you're trans.
Then it's an immutable characteristic.
Right? If Gender is a social construct that you can switch from on a whim, why don't all these trans athletes just switch to the gender that's congruent with their sex while they're on the sports field? Simple enough, we fixed it!!!
That is outstanding that an elementary school has a cross country team.

So why is this whole thing even a debate at this point if most people are in agreement?
Oh, I see now that it's a middle school.
At 11 I would assume she hadn't started puberty yet when she transitioned. If that is the case she wouldn't gain any advantage over the other girls on the team, so why should she not be allowed to compete as a girl?
Because just like most other 'hot' topics of today, it is the loudest bunch that everyone listens to. Constantly you see this kind of crap, particularly on social media, people screaming about things that they think everybody else thinks just because fox news told you.
I find all this sort of thing puzzling. I mean, I have 2 boys and they play coed soccer and while thee are some girls who can hang with the boys, it is very obvious even at age 5-6 that boys have a general physical advantage. I really don't understand how people can even argue against that or why there is so much confusion.

People who are in favor of transgender people participating in sports acknowledge the physical advantage.
I don’t care if a transgirl has an advantage. Let her run.

Yay, male supremacy! It's so sporting for males to support other members of your sex horning in on female sports coz so many males embrace regressive sex stereotypes & are homophobic.
You’re going to have to translate this for me.
That doesnt seem to be the case though since people even in this thread are arguing that once a transgender person has transitioned they've lost all of their advantage and suggesting that at 11 years old there isnt one yet because they havent hit puberty.
It's not that puzzling. If people admit that there are physical differences between men and women or even girls and boys, then the whole "gender is a social construct theory" goes straight in the toilet and people can't blame differences between the sexes on culture alone. That's why people are digging their heels in and being saying crazy things like males and females don't differ in athleticism.

They can run, just not against girls. Pretty simple.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
