By optics, that was his best 1500 since the Muller games in 2018. He ran 3:31 and it was a strong season overall but I’d say outside of maybe that 5,000 before Worlds in 2019 this is the first time he looked right,

I laugh at all the naysayers of Centro the last few months. He knows how to peak. It’s not his first rodeo...

NOT DONE YET. 3:35 for the dub
I once said, guys like Centro, Murphy, and Engels run fast when it counts. Watch out at the Olympic Trials!
I'm not so sure about Engels. He's had what, like one genuinely good season? Centro's had 10+
Glad I'm eating my words now, the trials are gonna be exciting!
Not sure if I agree with the guy that said he's in PR shape. If he is, he'll be in 3:28 or better shape by the trials. I think I'd take Nuguse over him in a race right now, but come trials, Centro is probably gonna be the massive favorite
i better get ready to sign that apology form
He looks very strong and had more in the tank. The trials should be very competitive.
Was a solid run but as with any aging athlete his form is showing imbalances. Wonder if he still has great top end speed anymore. 54 a long shot from 51.
Centro will win the OT and top 3 at OG. Here's why:
- 13:01 5k guy
- Shows up when it counts (gamer)
- After today's race, his speed is back

Unless shown otherwise, I’d say yes.
His form is the same it’s always been, lol.

He started his kick around 250m to go and let off the acceleration when he saw that he had gapped the field enough. Even if you consider his 1:50 800m from weeks ago as a real barometer of his current speed, that would mean 0:51 is quite doable.
The problem for Jawline Bro is that the Olympics 1500m will very likely be the usual Potatoe Man v. Pretty Boy time trial @ 3:25-3:28

Laughable. Nuguse would not beat Centro today.
Jake Heyward is back too. Big pb for the former European U20 and U18 champion (when he beat Jakob).
Imagine doubting this man
Very nice run by Centro. He still needs to run the 3:35.00 Olympic standard, though.

Not if keeps winning.
Is his dad now coaching him?

Except he doesn't.
Has standard from 2019
Ok, I stand corrected. He has it from the first qualifying period when he ran 3:32 during the World Championships. Also explains why Houlihan isn't racing. She also has it from the WC.
A big stfu to rojo and his tee shirt

3:35 is 57 seconds per 400m average. A 1:50 800m (55sec per 400m) is nowhere near his current speed.
He probably set that race (the 800m) up to know what he was capable of closing a fast 1500m race.

I’m evidently a 12 year old...
I laughed for a solid minute seeing that username
