NOT DONE YET. 3:35 for the dub
Haters as usual shut up and take zero accountability for their useless and blasphemic words. Talk is cheap.
So almost as fast as Nuguse? (sp?)
He won that so smooth, if he doesn't make the olympic team I'd be shocked. He's bringing it together at the right time
Yep. Never doubt the king.
Lol as a Centro doubter I have to admit he looked back. Still think there’re a few guys (Teare, Nuguse and Hocker) who will give him all that he can handle but the pros like Engels, Thompson and Gregorek don’t look up to snuff.
Hell yeah! We’ve got what, 6-7 3:35 guys rn? This is gonna be a very interesting trials
So will Centro and 3 college kids divide up the 3 spots? I think the team is Centro and Nuguse, and then either Hocker or Teare, with Hocker probably having the edge. They've all shown more this year than Engels, Thompson, or Gregorek.
Wheating's interview was fantastic.
That was a 3:35?
That looked so easy.
That looked real easy. Got to give him respect when he runs well.
And his interview sounded like he's having fun and focused.
looked super relaxed, could tell from the first lap he was going to take it.
He looked like he could’ve dropped a 52 if he wanted to. He looks like in PR shape.
2:41 give or take at the bell. Haven’t looked for official splits but I wanted to see his last lap regardless of outcome. Math works out to give or take 54? 255 at 1200 so last 300 was 40 secs. Pretty typical smooth looking finish, looked back with 100 to go cause I think he was genuinely surprised and then poured it on.

Your post was the second one on the thread. This is the first anyone here knows about this. Give them a chance. Now, I said after his 3:40 that he would run 1:51 next and he did. Did I worry? Not one bit. Veterans with his record are always ready for the Trials, not for meaningless March/April races.
Centro never left. You guys look like clowns calling him done. So he ran some slow times in JANUARY FEBRUARY AND MARCH. The season hadn’t even started! He is a seasoned professional and shows up when it matters. He’s getting fit and will peak at the right time. Say all you want about the college kids or other Americans running fast, none are on Centros level. Most will never get a medal on the global stage. How many times have we seen young guys or some athletes run crazy fast times super early in the year and not show up when it matters (trials). Going to happen again
CENTRO’S BACK BABY!!!!1111
Training phase- The barn is built and the hay is being gathered.

Something to keep in mind as well is that peaking for indoors will probably HURT the younger guys at the trials. That's a lot of time to hold your fitness. Centro is focused on nothing BUT the trials. These NCAA guys have to worry about NCAAs, of course.
You can't compare guys in January, especially when they're running different seasons.

I once said, guys like Centro, Murphy, and Engels run fast when it counts. Watch out at the Olympic Trials!
