Teare and Nuguse epic battle with a photo finish! Hocker in a bad position doesn't come close hard enough.
3:35.96 to 3:35.97

No olympic standard times however
And still no standard.
i happen to have it on good authority that cooper teare currently has cole hocker on per diem and that nuguse is buying in as well
Nice but wish he got the standard. But there still is time.
So you’re telling me ingebrigsten won’t even medal at the olympics?!
i don’t know honestly. Unless they enter a fast last chance meet. Conference meets won’t be this fast. Regionals definitely won’t be. Nationals might but i don’t know.

It's posts like yours that show the standards are an embarrassment to the sport. The US should be allowed to send any 3 that it wants.
We just had a great race and the first thing fans post about is some stupid standard when the reality is the standard was really only supposed to be like insurance policy for the world's super stars who were coming back from injury or something. Like 25% of the guys were supposed to get in on standard. Most were supposed to come from world ranking but things changed with the super spikes.

PS. I apologize for posting under letsrun in the 1st post. I'm sure Wejo will rip me but i was logged into the wrong browser.

maybe if it wasn't behind a paywall we would be commenting on what we saw instead of commenting on what know from following a stopwatch on a live timing website.
I thought the standard existed so Bangladesh couldn’t send a 5 min 1500m runner. Jk.
But seriously, most fans of running are Type As and will notice stuff like this and also it’s part of the process. Obviously still a great race but if you want your fave runner to go to Tokyo, they have to get the standard.

They shouldn’t have lagged the 3rd lap.

Definitely not giving the title up easily
Definitely not the most important meet of the year, but telling that the Oregon d!ck riders shut the h$ll up and went to bed tonight.

Looks like Teare had a bloody nose. Did Nuguse's crazy legs kick him in the face or something?
My prediction was wrong. Good for YN.
Regarding my prediction, I apologize unreservedly.
Rojo vindicated: Cole Hocker should have gone pro straight after indoors and cashed out.

Good on you to own up to it.
Sincerely,
Not surprised that the defending champ at 1500m won a 1500m

1) Of course I owned up to it. I ALWAYS do when I'm wrong.
2) There were still reasons to pick Hocker over Nuguse, not the least of which is Hocker's great indoor season.
3) Champs from one season don't necessarily repeat again, so that's not a reason to pick him.
