Absolutely insane decision to do this...

That's rich.
I go out limitedly if I am not working. When I do go to a store, i wear a cloth mask with 2 liners over a disposable. Once the pandemic started in March 2020, I was doing this before there were the mandates.
This was acceptable to me because I had seen several of my Asian native students wearing one if they were sick
I have never had meals delivered.
Where I work, we use copious amounts of quaternary ammonium cleaner...hospital grade, antibacterial soap, germicidal bleach, gloves, masks and very sanitary practices.
I've been back to work since late May of 2020.
We do what we can to stop the spread, and the OTC Elite is doing their part.
It shocks me how many people post high school or college, live so unicellular lives that without racing, there's no living.
As I work in child care, my daily routine includes creating innovative projects for them to do, even challenging myself with new concepts, playing actively with the kids, helping them learn, helping them deal with conflicts and challenges, and bringing smiles to their faces when they accomplish something new.
I love that life.
It's diverse, kids are diverse and it's never boring.
Therefore, simply dedicating yourself and focus to only running is also, not a life.
The bodily fitness differential between you and an overweight colleague is not as big as you think.
Apparently, OTC Elire gets it.

They are listening to science.
The CDC is not necessarily being scientifically responsible.
But epidemiology and virology and yes, Dr. Fauci would support and still support contact tracing efforts especially in areas where cases are rising...like Oregon.
Therefore, there is everything right that OTC Elite is doing with regard to the science of mitigation of spread.
Obviously, the utmost precautionary step is to not compete.
They are listening.
Hang on...aren’t you the guy with the theory a few weeks ago that the tracks the Univ of Oregon guys were racing on indoors were purposely shortened?
SMH. In another episode of insanity, a kid I know that had COVID months ago got quarantined when one of his classmates tested positive. Rate of reinfection is 0.5%, and that is primarily old people with dodgy immune systems.

This is like saying you should walk through the bad part of town at night wearing expensive clothing and talking loudly about all the cash on you, because life offers no guarantees.

Not alone at all. Probably 2600 people agree with you.

This is the opposite of insanity. There is not enough data yet to fully support your .5% assertion. Also, we are dealing with a pandemic. The government ordinances are implemented to try to keep the most people safe... we are not yet in the position where we can start making up nuanced rules and regulations for every cookie cutter scenario... better to inconvenience one kid you know for a couple weeks then take unnecessary risk.
Even if we were in the position to make nuanced rules, most people are two dumb to understand and follow them anyway. Just look at the whole mask debacle. When the pandemic started the general population was told not to go out and hoard masks because they were needed for healthcare workers. A month or two later when the mask supply chain was adequate to support everyone, all the dummies pointed to the fact that they were told not to hoard masks early on as evidence that masks were not necessary. There are too many people who can not process facts and put them together to form logical conclusions. Unfortunately they need very basic rules which they still have trouble processing and following.
*too dumb...
I guess I'm two dumb...lol
Extremely low risk, fully vaccinated, yet still hiding in fear. I'd have to say that is a form of insanity.

Meh, he was a good troll originally. He got me pretty fired up a few months ago but no one is really this dumb so now his trolling is exposed big time.

I pray he is a troll except rojo put him on blast for calling him and complaining for 40mins about not taking Covid serious. And then mostly complained about the thread that rojo outed him since it was deleted. Guy is a lunatic

This.

That's why they do contact tracing.
Young, vaccinated, healthy are not guarantees.
Thank you to the OTC Elite for being responsible.
Last I checked around 90 people who had been vaccinated in the US have died of Covid. If you say your chances of dying of Covid if vaccinated are 1 in a million that is factually correct.
If we continue this abundance of caution nonsense we will destroy the quality of life in the US doing far more damage than Covid.

Lol where did rojo do this? I remember Smith making a thread about it being a productive and civil conversation.

Stop fear-mongering.
Call me a troll.
Meh, your assessment is off.
But I guess calling someone a troll stops you from self-reflection of why you would put people at risk just to have running events.
But I get it. Without the running clubs and the meetups for after run drinks, you and your buds have nobody to BS to.
Because nobody in the mainstay is going to bristle if you lie about your 1500m time by 10 seconds to look good; they just won't care.
OK. You're a troll. Trolly McTrollerson. Not a particularly good troll, easy to see through. But a troll nevertheless. Troll, troll, trolll, troll, troll.....

Shut up, stay home, wear 5 masks and let us live.
Thanks.
