People who have avoided getting COVID for more than a year are willingly injecting themselves with chemicals, causing them to get sick from the side effects, in order to avoid getting a sickness they have avoided since March 2020? Do I have that right?
NO! Unfortunately, your Redneck mind can't comprehend modern science which helps guide rational thinking humans. Are from the south?

The people in the clearly defined high risk groups are the one who should consider taking a vaccine. A population-wide experimental vaccine campaign is a money grab and a control mechanism.
Fact: 81% of COVID fatalities are people age 65 and over.
The typical seasonal flu is more dangerous to children.
In fairness, this is true. However, we are all better off when more humans get the jab x 2.

“Death is actually good” is where they all end up.
Just because we have immune systems doesn't mean we're immune to every pathogen. Also, just because you've been able to socialize and haven't contracted covid doesn't mean it's not a concern. You're fortunate to not have contracted it without distancing, and that's great. But risky. Lots of people have not been so lucky. You haven't actually said that you don't believe covid exists, but your messages certainly lean that way. If that's the case, just say so, because your argument that immune systems are all-powerful just doesn't hold water.

The risk of getting Covid now is miniscule, compared to a year ago, and I haven't gotten it yet. Anyway, if this vaccine is so good, what's it matter to those who've gotten the vaccine whether I have it or not?
What’s funny about this is that I am hearing of more people I know testing positive now than any other time. I’m sure partially due to the ease of testing now but also things are opening back up and people are getting together. Now seems like the best time to get the vaccine. If you don’t have any underlying conditions that make it risky only a moron wouldn’t take the vaccine at this point.

Yes, that's correct.
It was the same with Polio, Measles, Diphtheria, etc. The diseases can be life-altering (you should google Polio) and you only need to get it once. Thanks to vaccines, people who had never before had the disease could be saved from those diseases. With enough of the population taking it, people who haven't had the chance to have those vaccines yet (infants, for example) are also protected b/c the probability of catching it is dramatically lowered when most of the population is vaccinated.
Comparing covid to polio is ridiculous. Polio was terrifying and you can't ward off polio with Vit D and steady exercise. It is an offensively absurd comparison.

You are correct, immune systems are not all powerful, and they even get pretty weak if you avoid exposure to pathogens for an entire year. Do do realize we have made society and the kids much more susceptible to severe disease by what we have done the past year? Don't you. In the context of the kids, it is neat criminal what has been done.

Sure, getting the jab is clearly better than not, but you need to find a better source of information.

For what is worth, I have NEVER had my airbags checked. I'm not even sure that is a thing. How do you check an unexploded airbag without exploding it?
1) Polio looks to induce paralysis in 0.5% of infections. A bit lower than the death rate from Covid.
2) Given that known athletes have gotten the virus with serious impacts (Bostons star basketball player was affected for 3-4 months, opening day starter lost the season and starting quarterback had his season interrupted) indicates exercise certainly is not a panacea,
3) I have yet to see clear evidence for benefit from a vitamin d level above 25ng/dL. That provides some benefit, but again, very far from certain

So because you can find the rare case of a basketball player getting sick you rule out consistent exercise as being extremely helpful. You've lost me on this cherry pick. Idiotic. Vit D definitely helps, more tha

more than canceling school for a year and telling the kids to just sit all day playing Xbox.
I had my second shot yesterday. Slightly sore arm, no other issues. Ran an easy 5 miles today. Fine.
A) moving goalposts
B) the most important player for 2 of the most popular 3 teams in one town, and the top pitcher for the third team of the 3. Certainly if you are from boston that is not a cherry pick, that has been your sports experience for the past year.
C) when you said “you can’t ward off polio with vit d and exercise, it implies you can do so with Covid. While they help a bit, clearly they are not a panacea. As an example a country where people get a lot of exercise, have good BMI as well as mandatory vitamin d supplementation is Sweden
