Have to admit, I have had this same thought as well. Not particularly for the same reasons, however. In my mind, I wasn't thinking about the lower-income households, rather I was considering the anti-vaxxers. Money could be a great incentive to get the vaccine, and although it's not really fair to the people who are already vaccinated, in the long run it will be worth it to return our country back to normal as quickly as possible (safely, of course). It's a gamble, certainly.
Probably needs to be $200. Hard-core anti-vaxxers still won't be motivated but it would draw in many that are on the fence, as well as those that have just not bothered, especially the low income.
You could still pay the people who are already vaccinated if they can provide acceptable proof.
I'll get vaxxed for $100,000 - no less. The way the Dems throw money around this should be a drop in the bucket! 👍 I mean they can come up with these trillion dollar spending packages giving out billions of dollars to special groups - so what's 100 grand to them. If that's important to the government to have everyone vaxxed - then they can pay up!
