It’s time that we as Americans stop using “socialism” as a derogative. Socialism is good. Stalin, Hugo Chavez, Mugabe, and Fidel Castro are the ones who got it right.

Yes. I agree. We need a strong dictator, which is why I voted for Trump. Can't wait until 2024 when I can vote for him again.
You got the dictator you wanted.
Executive Orders by Trump - 1/23 (3), 1/24 (4), 2/3 (1), 3/6 (1), 3/16 (1), 3/20 (1), 3/27 (1) = 12 by end of March
Executive Orders by Biden - 1/20 (17), 1/21 (10), 1/22 (2), 1/25 (3), 1/26 (4), 1/27 (3), 1/28 (2), 2/1 (1), 2/2 (4), 2/4 (4), 2/11 (1), 2/14 (1), 2/17 (1), 2/24 (3), 3/7 (1), 3/8 (2) = 59 by end of March
Stalin didn't need a Congress and neither does Biden.
Biden wants to increase the cap on refugees by a factor of 4.
Just what we need, millions more of unskilled/uneducated people from third world countries to fill up our cities and towns. If only diversity were a renewable energy resource.

This is good, actually.
You want to end up like Japan? Or Germany soon. Or China later?
An endless supply of enthusiastic would-be-Americans is an incredible resource. We won't appreciate this until we've lost it.

No, it's not good.
95% of refugees are going to be dependent on the system. They're a tremendous burden.
I'd be fine importing highly skilled, educated workers from anywhere so we can, you know, make America a better place and stuff.

Most of them wont be dependent on the system Werner Von Braun and Arthur Rudolph and many other Rocket Scientist's are examples of Immigrants who snuck across the our Border and were extremely Productive (They were the MAIN REASON we won the space race) There are a lot more Immigrants that are like Von Braun then there are those who will end up on the system.

Do you really think today's refugees from Libya, Central African Republic and Haiti are going to be rocket scientist?
I mean really?

Sorry for the double post, but I am just in awestruck at the stupidity and naivety on display here.

Idiot post of all time. Well done Doug Burke. The 1000s of migrants illegally entering the country are more likely to be rocket scientists helping to put men (and women!) on Mars than to be a drain on our resources.

Don't be so quick to judge, Sally. The DRC has a very advanced space program:

You exaggerate and you know it. The immigration that improves the US is controlled immigration of skilled workers, professionals, etc. Those are the quotas the companies support. Large scale immigration of uneducated, unskilled, often unhealthy, often non-English speaking people is a massive drain on public resources with almost no positive effect, and you know that too.
You mean we have to put an economic blockade on ourselves and try to install a puppet ruler?
I always get a kick out of people who somehow believe Venezuela is a model for the kind of democratic socialism promoted by Bernie Sanders, as if they're scholars of latin american economies rather than just parroting the talking heads on tv. 99% of them couldn't find Venezuela on a map and still think Chavez is in charge. Lol!
Venezuela has more Ms. Universes per capita than any other country and they make really good arepas.

Venezuela has by far the largest oil reserves in the world. Much more than the US. How can the have food lines and massive food shortages? oh ... they are a socialistic country. enough said. Socialism ALWAYS fails.
Everywhere where I have seen "Socialism" in a third world country I have seen a (strong) failure.
Here are some examples:
- Iraq
- Egypt of Gamal Abdel Nasser
- Lybia of Moamar Kaddafi
- Ethiopia and the civil war
and the strong living example:
Syria of Al Assad family
So I strongly advice against following socialism path

"This is good actually. " lol. The United States of America is and has accepted more LEGAL aliens than any other country ever. These illegal aliens are votes for Team Donkey and that is all you really care about. If you 'thinkers' could actually admit it, I would have some respect for you. But you won't.

And yet some socialist countries have among the highest standards of living in the world, including 5 of the top 10 (Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Iceland and Germany).
