So this is something I’m truly trying to understand and I understand it’s an issue that really only pertains to Americans.
Essentially everyone is the United States is now able to get vaccinated with minimal effort. The CDC itself has said you have a .01% chance of having a “breakthrough” COVID case once fully vaccinated. Of those “breakthrough” COVID cases only 1% of those have been fatal which means the chances of you dying of COVID once fully vaccinated is something like .001%. This seems like a socially acceptable “risk” by even the most neurotic individual.
I know restrictions in the US are easing but there are still areas with occupation restrictions, masking requirements, the CDC says you should only gather in small groups outside while massless and there’s a push in certain quarters to force people to get vaccinated. Why is this? It appears that once you are vaccinated you are good to go and if someone chooses not to get vaccinated then they must deal with the consequences of their choice.
I’m really trying to understand the other side of the argument. The “everyone must be vaccinated” or “we must keep restrictions/masking side”
